A setup that can take a little abuse?

Go for a mod man! You sound like a meat and potatoes kind of guy. The kind of guy that needs a rough and rugged mod that'll satisfy that rich, thick vapor craving that every real man has deep down in his prime rib filled gut. Have you ever had that insatiable urge that every man gets, as a beautiful woman walks by. Its that girl you let get away isn't it? Shes in a plaid short skirt and white stockings running up to her lightly tanned thighs. Yknow, when she walks up to you with a confident smirk on her pink glossy lips, slips her pointer finger into your shirt collar with a swirl around your chest. She squeaks. You watch her smile before she pulls you toward her candy apple red camaro. She opens the door brushing against the front of your slacks before running around the car and jumping into the passenger's seat. You get in and turn that key. Shes looking over at you like your a GOD. The engine starts and you press down the gas with it in park. The engine revs like a damn monster. Your heart is pounding now. You turn out of the parking lot and it's a strait road cut out of a plateau that you can see stretch on for miles. Zero to 60, 80, 90, 120, 150, your palms are sweating. She leans over, and kisses your neck, before resting her nose under your chin...

Thats what it feels like to fire up a Provari.

Converts that work in construction use Mech Mods cuz of the dirt and grime that gets in them. Once or twice a week cuz there are no electronics in them they disassemble them, wash the dirt out and let dry overnight. They use a belt flashlight holder while at work.

How do these work? I'm still pretty noob and the only reason I liked the twist was so I don't burn juices and heads as fast

yeah, the OP did ask for something smaller than his eGo batteries. So I'm not so sure we should have jumped strait to recommending mods. If the OP is serious about the question he or she will come back and show us that they are actually still around. But as far as something smaller than an EGo with good durability, there isn't much.

For cig-alikes, the only good options are the VOLT from smokelessimage, or the BLOOG from Bloogmaxfusion. Both of these are around the size of a cigarette but they are regulated at 3.7v so a 1.8 to 2ohm carto or atty will do pretty well on them. Although obviously, the battery life will be short and you'll need to buy a $50+ kit that includes a pocket charging case, plus 2-3 extra batteries and at least one pack of mini clearomizers or cartomizers. (and juice) So it would be an expensive investment to try something you may not even like, considering your used to the VV capabilities of the eGo spinner batteries.

If you can sacrifice size, and go with a mod, then I'd support that fully. Like others have mentioned, there are literally hundreds of mods to choose from on the open market. Some time-tested mods are the Silver Bullet or the REO or the Super-T mods, or the Provari, the BOMBSHELL (is huge and the battery will last you two or three days haha) the Legacy with a KICK, the itaste vw just came out and its a pretty small mod you might wanna look at, the MVP is a nice box mod that would fit in your pocket nicely and it does have a ring that helps protect against breaking the tank connection spot, or the telescoping Zmax, which is stainless steel. The VAMO is probably the cheapest made of the cheap VV foreign made mods. But, hey, its cheap to buy and it'll get your foot in the door. Its HUGE though. VERY long. I dont recommend you trying a mechanical mod yet because you don't have a battery tester or an ohm meter or a PV that does this, so building your own attys would be dangerous and pre-made coils can be unreliable and annoying with mechanical mods. The smoktech Natural + a KICK would be sweet too. I seriously love my Natural. I think anyone would love it. I'm going to eventually get a 2nd one. (the KICK is a vv chip you can buy separately and it'll turn any mechanical mod into a VV/VW mod) The kick would work great in a Silver Bullet as well. I have a few of the mods I've suggested and all of them are fine for pocket holding during hard labor. (I promise, mods are sturdy if you buy good ones)

WELL, that turned out to drone on way too long. Hopefully you've got some ideas though.
Please come back to this thread so we know if your even seeing these suggestions or if you've flewn the koop.

Yeah you kinda hit me with info overload there buddy.
Would the MVP and the protank 2 be a good set up? I'm probably not gonna be rebuilding my own addy and coils. Just not enough time in the day for me to tinker THAT much with this new found hobby. I'll probably just keep buying replacements.
Also does the provari come with a hot blond and 3 wishes? What makes them so great?

A mechanical mod can be either a tube or box shape. To simplify things, lets just talk about a tube mod as they are the most common.

Consists of a hollow steel or aluminum tube. Battery fits inside. Fire button allows the battery contact the top of the mod where the juice delivery device is. A true mechanical mod has no wiring, just metal contacts. Simple as they come.

A Mech Mod is all mechanical with no electronics and can be completely disassembled and fires at 3.7 volts. My first PV 2 yrs ago was a Mech Mod and fires as good as the day I bought it. I'm retired from construction but have been to many non profit builds and my Mech Mod has been great. They can be used with 18650 batteries or in mini mode with 18350 batts.
Nowadays many are using sub-ohm(under 1 ohm) coils in their Mech Mods for a stronger hit. You can also buy a "kick"...a small electronic gizmo that fits inside allowing you to adjust the voltage. As many have posted the weak spot in ALL PVs is where the juice delivery system/ cartomizer/ clearomizer connects to the PV so best to buy a holder that protects the ENTIRE PV from top to bottom.
My Mech Mod in mini mode (18650 Battery) with a Vivi Nova on it measures 5 1/2" long.

I have two Provari's and I'm still waiting on the blond.

The Provari is just the best made variable voltage device made. USA made. 1 year warranty. After warranty, Provape will continue to service a Provari as long as you own it for minimal reasonable fees. No China-made device has as long a warranty, no will repair one of their devices. Once it's broke, it stays broke.

Extremely durable, consistant, dependable. Can probably take more abuse than you can dish out. Military grade microprocessor is the most precise in the business. What setting you set, it will continue to give you for the entire life of the battery. Built-in atomizer and battery meters.

Basically if you can deal with it being larger, you'll get a lot more fun AND a lot more durability. Mods are built to last longer than eGo bats. Its just a fact. You can buy any mod thats been listed in this thread and it'll be more durable than an eGo battery. The MVP with a Protank on top would be a great mod, plus it'll charge your cellphone. The Provari can be ran over and not break.

I already know without checking that the Provari is fine.
I'm pretty much at that point. I've dropped my Provari around 20 times now and I worry more about the laminate flooring. The Provari feels like your holding a piece of iron rebar. I dropped other mods ONCE and they have had their paint scratch. The Provari is a heavy mod and the anodized finish is impervious to light scratching. The MVP is a good heavy duty aluminum box mod that would serve your purposes well as well. Like I said, it's got the beauty ring that will protect the eGo connection from snapping in your pocket. The Silver Bullet feels like your holding a 6 inch flag pole section. The kick in the Silver Bullet or the Natural would be great for you. Mods have come a long way. You could close your eyes and throw a suction cup dart at this post and buy the closest mod's name. I'd be surprised if you managed to buy one that I don't recommend these days. But obviously the US made mods have their advantages.
