Ok.....so Fran, the dragon fire brought the degrees up a few, I see!
Hitt, therapy consists of several movements such as standing on one foot at a parallel bar for as long as I can while the therapist times me with his stopwatch; walking a straight line with the therapist holding a belt that's around my waist. I think that's over doing it a bit, but it is part of the regimen and they do need to protect themselves.
Standing on a sponge-like platform with one foot with eyes closed.......then eyes open.
Both my doctor and the therapists are telling me that the neurons can be re-directed with a lot of retraining.
They are emphasizing core strength. Holding the abs in for 3-10 seconds for 15 reps.
I go to the gym regularly but I've never concentrated on my abs........hated it, just hated it.......but I have very strong legs and arms because I do lift weights (machine only for safety).
They have also told me to stop the slow burn type of lifting and go for endurance, so am doing that now. Seems the endurance is somehow linked to balance but don't remember all of the details.
