    Somewhere between here and there
I talked to my boss and also called our insurance broker. It looks like it is just our bad luck that my wife's medicines are on higher tiers with the new insurance. I talked to a couple other people here and they said so far their prescriptions have been the same price. I don't really think there's much that can be done about it. However, a raise would be nice. I haven't had one of those in quite a long time.

Gracie.. I think you did a great job flappin' after all that bowling.. I loved how your eyes were going in circles!

Hitt.. feeling any better today? That stinks about the RX increase on your new insurance :( Hope your boss will do a raise to help out!

Pothole... Ouch! That apron must really hurt!

OTD.. Glad to hear you can go in to work a bit later, when the ice is better! :)

Fran.. at least the temp is moving up some... I'll do more flappin' again once it's above freezing.. it's only 30 here right now! :)

PT.. Have a safe trip home... any cookin' when you get there? Waiting more more yummy food pics.. my cereal is looking boring!

Hitt, sorry that your prescription issues aren't working well!

Fran, a few of us seem to be falling a lot recently. Hope your hubby sustains a bruise and nothing more.

Although it was a sliver of soap that caused me to slip and fall in the shower, my doctor didn't take any chances when I told him. He ordered gait therapy for balance issues, and I'm glad he did, because it turns out that my balance is way off......so that's why I fell off my bike 3x in as many weeks.....no more bike for awhile, anyway.

Hopefully this will help the temps rise above freezing.......... dragonfire.gif

Ok.....so Fran, the dragon fire brought the degrees up a few, I see! :)

Hitt, therapy consists of several movements such as standing on one foot at a parallel bar for as long as I can while the therapist times me with his stopwatch; walking a straight line with the therapist holding a belt that's around my waist. I think that's over doing it a bit, but it is part of the regimen and they do need to protect themselves.

Standing on a sponge-like platform with one foot with eyes closed.......then eyes open.

Both my doctor and the therapists are telling me that the neurons can be re-directed with a lot of retraining.

They are emphasizing core strength. Holding the abs in for 3-10 seconds for 15 reps.

I go to the gym regularly but I've never concentrated on my abs........hated it, just hated it.......but I have very strong legs and arms because I do lift weights (machine only for safety).

They have also told me to stop the slow burn type of lifting and go for endurance, so am doing that now. Seems the endurance is somehow linked to balance but don't remember all of the details.

Well that doesn't sound too terrible. It probably helps that you are working out regularly. I missed about a week while not feeling well.
Hitt, no it isn't bad at all and working out is a plus......I must do weight bearing routines so that my osteopenia doesn't develop into osteoporosis! I'm 73 but I feel 53, and can lift heavier than most of the folks in a younger age group.
Home now, Ms PT should also be driving up soon.

Hitt, I have BC & BS and my prescriptions are priced all over the place.

Gracie, I need to work out, I've already gained a few pounds this last few months and plan to eat well over the holidays.

Looks like its gonna get cold here tomorrow.
Lots of folks do gain from the Holidays, but all the goodies are hard to resist.

I think just about everyone puts on a little weight between November and January. That's why exercise equipment sells so well that time of year. As soon as Xmas is over every sale ad will be full of it .
LOL......yes, and that's when the gym memberships go up and then by March, the newcomers are gone.
And actually, it's not what you eat between Christmas and the New Year, but what you eat between the New Year and Christmas that matters. So I say, enjoy the Holidays!!

    I'm lucky. I don't gain.

Yes, indeed you are lucky Fran........even though I have a good metabolism for my age, I still have to monitor what I eat. sometimes

    Evening,Gracie. I'm far from young:)
Fran.......You are still young at heart!:) Been another fun week at work. Should slow down after next week. I may be getting moved again, which would be a plus for me. Getting alot of rain here, which is better than snow.

As far as exercise goes. I have been working out the past few weeks, but can't stop eating so it's all a wash! Really hard to curb one's self around the holidays. Maybe after i will get serios again. I did drop 8 pounds,I guess I should be proud of that!

    Off tommorrow...........Work Sat-Tues!

    Night all!
    :)Wiz!
