We swear our orange cats have siamese in them. Especially Angus! The four black and white tabbies are not very vocal at all, but the triplets sure are! When they're not yowling like siamese cats, they talk to each other, they talk to us, they talk to themselves. What's really funny is when they're carrying toys ("dead animals" in their minds, I'm sure) in their mouths, they make a really strange yowling noise that at first I thought was indicative of extreme pain or illness! Nope, it's just them with toys in their mouths. Silly kitties.

I have an old tortie that talks & yowls while carrying her "catch".

She'll come sit in front of you and tell you a whole story too ! Quite funny !

Most of my cats who are hunters bring their catch and drop it at my feet and tell me their loooooong Great White Hunter tale and I have to brag and tell them what fine hunters they are, etc. If I don't, they'll follow me around with it, talking to me, until I do! Once they get enough praise, they're satisfied and go on about their business!

Depends -- I've always had a few who eat what they catch. Most of the time, I wait till they're tired of playing with it and then I get to clean it up! Only exception -- if it's a bird that's still in pretty good shape, I'll take it away and put it in a tree in a safe place or nurse it back to health. We're not knowledgeable, but we love all the birds out here and I don't like my cats to kill them. :(
