A lot of you know this but some may not. I'm not sure if the shorties are the only ones with the large air holes, but anyway...it seems some people don't like the large holes. I just want to say this to make sure some of you are not making the same mistake I was at first.

At first I didn't like the large holes because the e-cig felt so airy and I would draw really hard and fast because I thought I need to do this to get more vapor because it was so "airy". I found out the opposite is best by far. With these you should draw so light that your hardly sucking and the vapor will be MASSIVE and then they are not airy. A faster and more powerful draw = less vapor production and a really light and slow draw = huge vapor production.

I'm sure a lot of you know this but I think it's pretty easy for people to make this mistake, especially if they are new to e-cigs. I will only buy these shorties from now on..they rock and look much nicer looking than a long battery in my opinion.

Thanks for the important reminder and I haven't seen that tip posted lately so it will be helpful to the new here. Once you get the draw down, you tend to forget it as it becomes natural to you.

A quick primer puff followed by a nice.......long.......sloooooow draw works best on the autos. Manuals don't usually need the primer puff, but nice and slow works better on those also.

JenJen is right..I should have mentioned to make sure to do a primer puff. A small primer puff to get it going and THEN a long slow drag is best...with a primer puff and a drag like that it is as if the battery is doing the work for you...no need to fill you lungs with extra air.

I can't wait to try the Premium Cartomizers on this battery.

This is for the new batteries, right?

I ordered a purple battery a couple weeks back that required a really hard draw to get anything out of and after talking to Val had a replacement sent out. I got my replacement today and it's the exact same way.. have to draw super hard to get it to work.

I found if I put a piece of tape to cover up where the battery and cartomizer come together that it works as well as the old batteries.. I feel like if you could plug up one or two of the holes that it might work just as well too..

Anyway, am I just doing it wrong or have I got 2 bad batteries?

it's just the way they are as of now. Some people prefer larger to smaller holes. Sounds like you might enjoy the ones with smaller holes. I don't think you need a replacement, its all about your personal preferences.

Yep. I would be great if we had some more info, either on the webside or on this forum, about what kind of batteries we're actually ordering. Cut-off time is listed, mostly, 10 and 13 sec, I assume that others are 5 sec, correct? Could you just add some info about the sizes of the holes? To make things worse, I read somewhere that there had been some mix-up with the sizes of those holes and that they would be changed/adjusted again. Help! I want to order more but am hesitant because I have no clue what I'll be ordering. Mark, Steve, Val, Leaford (wherever you are)? Any tips?

Yes, those are the ones. Give it a short sharp primer puff to get it going, and then you can take a slow easy draw.

Ridiculous, it's totally working now haha

Even still, I think I would much rather have the drag resistance that you got from the smaller holes, made it feel more like a drag from an analog

Do these take some breaking in or something? I literally had to inhale deeply and forcefully to get the battery to even turn on earlier today..

It does still cut off towards the end of my drags since the uh.. sucking power of my mouth isn't as strong, but at least now I can get it to activate without needing to breathe in through my diaphram/lungs, if that makes any sense.
