Today was a fantastic day off work. My wife and I made the pilgrimage to V4L HQ. A big thank you to Steve, Mel, Mark, Leaford, Mariano and Christie who took time out of their busy schedules to show us around and chat for awhile. It was incredibly cool to meet the folks that were so instrumental in our quest to kick the analogs.
Steve and Mel are good people. It was really nice to have the opportunity to sit down and just shoot the breeze with them. We all know how dedicated Steve is to improving his product line, but email and the forums can be so cold and emotionless. Talking with him in person you can see the passion ooze off the man and tell how personally he takes it when anything doesn't go just perfect for us all.
There's no doubt that Leaford is dedicated to quality. They happened to get in something new while we were there and it was cool to see the behind the scenes conversations. They were talking about what they were going to do with them, if they were going to pass them out as freebies and what not and Leaford, almost immediatley stood up, grabbed one and said, "Uhhmmm, ya, let me test one of these out and make sure it works as intended before we go any further." Heheh, kudos to you Leaford.
Mariano is a funny dude. God help us all if he ever gets around to posting here. Believe it or not he seems to be the one that cracks the whip back at the mother ship and he's very possessive of his yard stick
Mark and Christie we've actually met before. We live about a mile from them and about once every two or three weeks they'll meet us at a local pub to deliver an order for us. This provides a perfect opportunity to have a couple cold ones. They're a very nice couple, just normal peeps. It's always a pleasure to hook up with them to chat about vaping, football or whatever comes up.
The coolest thing was just wandering around the candy store, surrounded by tens of thousands of carts and batteries of all sizes and colors. Gack, I almost went into stimulus overload, heheheh.
On the drive home I was thinking some of you here may like to hear a bit from the behind the scenes perspective of our favorite vapin vendor. So, I thought I'd share.
Once again thanks a bunch to the whole V4L crew for taking some time out for Jenni and I today, and don't worry guys they were still cranking thru packing orders so I don't think we delayed anyones shipment
