why not have called chris? as stated previously, it wouldnt have cost you a cent, and no doubt could have had a speedier, and more personable (he is a nice guy to talk to) resolution? seems to me you might have wanted to hide behind email and not want to confront the man while youre giving him a piece of your mind.

you cannot just post pieces and paraphrases of conversations and expect that to hold water as proof of anything. i would have called the man right after reading that "email" so he can clarify what he meant, and see if there is some way to compromise.

so there isnt real time inventory tracking. hes got more flavors than baskin robbins and can nearly whip you up anything you want (if youre willing to wait) custom to order.

i feel that stories like these have to be taken with a grain of salt, and one story isnt enough to convince me. i have done business with him, spoken to him on the phone (good ol' southern boy), and will do so again in the future. if hes out of a flavor, big deal, i will pick another one that he DOES have. or, i will wait until he gets them in. or, i will cancel the order and go to phil at esmokeytreats, or dave at rockymountainvapor, or any of the other 10039347382 other people out there that want my money and have what i want.

juice is hard to come by in huge quantities, and chris does a LOT of business. stock issues will always happen. sorry they happened to you. but you cant expect people who have done satisfying business with myfreedomsmokes to accept this just with your story.

would i have handled it differently if i were chris? maybe. depends. would i have handled it differently if i were you? definitely. a business transaction is a team effort. all the "customer is always right" drek that has been ingrained in people has ruined the business relationship. it has become "master/servant" rather than a partnership or relationship.

fortunately for you, now you know where not to shop, if you are looking to always be right. i, for one, am happier with a friend in the business, than a clerk. sorry for your bad experience, maybe you can try again in the future.

Sent an email and after a couple of friendly back and forth communication. He wanted to send me some stuff to make me happy, when I wasn't unhappy at all. Just sought clarification, so I could not except.

You did not accept his gift? A truly honorable person. So few around. I tip my hat to you.:)

Sorry, haven't had a chance to reply to anyone for the past day, have been busy and away from my home... What I think is amazing, is that this man has had over a day to clear his name or say his side of the story, and has chose to keep silent. Maybe that's a better idea, who knows? As I mentioned to someone in PM. I'm not out to destroy this man's character, or business. He'll end up doing that on his own if he continues treating people in certain ways. I think it's well within my rights, and I think most would agree, that they'd want to know both the pros AND cons of certain suppliers before dealing with them. Thankfully, this was only a $22 order, and not a $2000 order,, so it really was not a big deal. But obviously, it's the principle of the matter.

As for the transaction aspect... Not only did he process my $ thru paypal IMMEDIATELY after I ordered, but also sent me a tracking number, leading me to believe that it would be shipping out momentarily. It was not until later in the day, that he sent me an email saying that 1 of the flavors was out, not even mentioning that the other flavor I ordered was out as well. Per some people's requests, I can not post actual email exchanges, but here, in my own words, I will recreate the exchange that went down, from the beginning...

I ordered a 20ml bottle of RY4 and 6ml bottle of Blueberry. Keep in mind, each bottle, regardless of size, costs $1 to ship. So had I just bought the 6ml blueberry.. $1 to ship. Had I just bought the RY4... $1 to ship. Since I ordered 2 flavors... $2 to ship....

Chris Says something to the effect of:
Thanks for the order! I am out of Ry4 until Wednesday or Thursday...It that going to be OK?
(this was said AFTER my payment was processed, also, no mention of being out of blueberry as well)

I Respond back with something to the effect of:
I guess it's going to have to be! Haha.. How come you didn't mention
that on the site? I would've waited to order until then, or ordered
elsewhere? Why was a tracking number sent to me if you're not in stock
with the RY4? Will you be shipping out the RY4 when you get it in?

Chris Responds with something to the effect of:
I just ran out before I got to your order but I also was supposed to receive a shipment of juice last week. I is just a few more days out it looks like! Plus I was having juice mixed and shipped from Las Vegas and had sent them most of my supplies but they just couldn't keep up with the orders nor come close to my demands for the highest level of customer satisfaction! So here I am caught with my pants down for a couple of days! To catch up with orders and shipping that needed to be done...I went ahead and printed shipping labels and invoices. If you need to or want to cancel the order so you get some in from another supplier, I can do that for you just let me know!

I respond with something to the effect of:
Thanks for the response. I understand. I would prefer to maintain my order with you, as I have heard excellent things about your double flavored juices and your service. Will you be sending me the blueberry juice in the meantime? I am happy to wait a few extra days for the RY4, so please do not cancel the order. Of course, while I don't expect you to, I also wouldn't be mad at you if you threw something else in as a bonus for me having to wait longer, haha...

Chris responds with something to this effect:
looks like we will be sending both out at the same time...I ran out of the Blueberry also but both are in this shipment due in in the next couple of days.

I respond letting him know that it would've been helpful to know this ahead of time,,, the rest, was put in my initial post,,, if that has been deleted since, I would be happy to post more of my story, in my own words...

When people get stressed out and strike out or take a comment personally or out of context there is a strong tendency for that to be reflected back and it escalates from there.

Break the cycle and chill out.

Care to go into detail as far as what you mean? Where did I reflect back anything but kindness and respect?

I understand your fustrations, walking on egg shells trying not to offend anyone.

I placed an order last Wednesday. Still waiting. bty, day 8
I went back and forth with him after 3 days and no shipping confirmation.
Sunday he sent out a shipping confirmation.

As I understand it he opened up a Las Vegas office and just closed it down, last week. What a waste of time, and and money!
That being said there has to be a lot of damage control to tend, so I can imagine he is swamped.

I must say I too got an email stating my $50 order was not worth $16 next day service.
But, that was said in response to my comment: "It would have been nice to get juices shipped next day from the Vegas office for future orders, sorry you had to close it down." (generally ground service shipping arrives next day from Vegas to the Bay Area)

I can afford to be patient , I've got plenty of juice to hold me over. I may have been a little upset if I were completely out.
