A test I did on myself was to take some vg, vanilla extract and vanilla vodka and vaped it for a while....for days actually.....no sweat for me. I enjoyed the favor and the vape....I did run out at some point and my next batch of homade xxx did have some nic mixed in....but mostly..I was happy not to have a breakdown because I was vaping zero nic sauce....

Just think, in the old days our facial skin would be mummified by cigarette smoke. Broken and clogged capillaries. I've noticed a little drying, but I would imagine the humectant effect of PG or VG may be the blame. Need to cleanse more and moisturize. Great going on 1 Year. I'm 30+ days away from 6 months, and am cutting nic also. Happy Days!

I haven't posted in a while, here's what I have noticed personally.

Dry skin, some itching
Flakey scalp, nose
Still, better than tobacco--my lungs feel better.
Completely addicted to the nicotine though, which can leave me a little nauseous and anxious

The lesser of 2 evils, for sure.

It's funny cuz I too after 2.5 weeks I noticed the flaky nose. Nothing major just thought it was funny I wasn't the only one.:?:

Dry skin yeah - having to exfoliate more often and mositurise. I had dry skin to start with so thats quite annoying.
Drier eyes. Also annoying as I do have dry eyes generally but had got it back to almost normal. Back to using night oils and daytime drops now though.
Plus side: (apart from smelling nicer) Less under eye darkness, something thats partly genetic with me, but not as much as I thought because I have less now. Skin is also rosier looking - less grey (smokers have grey tinged skin due to the carbon dioxide).

Here's a new side effect. I spend a lot of time on my laptop, sitting in my recliner. This is only my 6th day of vaping. However, However, I've cut back from near a pack a day of smokes to 3 analogs, and today will be just one. In the past, I've always got off my chair every 3/4 - 1 hr., to step outside to have a smoke. Now, I find myself sitting there for at least a couple hours at a time. When I finally do get up, my muscles are so sore from sitting in the same position for so long. I guess this is a side effect I can live with, or just remember to get up at least once an hour.

When I first started vaping, my scalp itched like crazy. Then my hair started to look like it was always over-conditioned (my hair is long and thick and normally is a bit wild) and I don't even use conditioner.

My hair is now more limp. So I'm washing it more often, trying to get some life into it. The itching has mostly passed at this point.

I use mainly VG, rarely any PG. I've never had dry skin, and don't have it now.

I don't yet notice increased sense of taste or smell. But I am breathing more clearly and deeper. No change in skin tone as of yet.

Of course, I've only been vaping for 2 months, and just gave up the analogs 1 1/2 months ago. So we shall see what time brings.

Debbie

Added: The intense thirst that I first experienced when I started vaping has eased up. However, I still try to keep a drink within reach most of the day.
