AAA Size Batteries. Is this a good choice for a mod?

I was thinking about to use 3 AAA Size rechargeable NiMh size batteries in my mod, so I can have 4,5v.

Is this a good choice?

I believe those batteries put out 1.2 volts, not 1.5, so you would get 3.6v with three. I would try to use 4 batteries to get 4.8v.

It will work--that was the cofiguration of my first Mod amny months ago---battery life is not that good though--better to use a 2 slot AA box and go with one 14500 AA size 3.6 Volt with 900 mAh's.

3 nimh 1.2v rechargeables get roughly 4v-4.2v at a full charge, but for the overall mah vs size AA lithiums will rock. Im still using 3 AA nimh 2600 mah batts tho, they last 2-3 days easily.
