Will the July 1 vaping ban push people back to cigarettes?

On Friday, the Australian Government announced that it was extending its already strict vaping ban — not only would selling nictoine vaping products in the country be illegal (this has been the case for years), but so would be importing them for personal use. The change would come into effect in just 12 days — on July 1.

"Why is this product — which the evidence suggests is far less harmful — why is this considered so dangerous that they have to ban people's access to it while allowing them to purchase a much more harmful product?"

"People have focused on the lower risk product and put regulatory effort into that, whereas the higher risk product is killing lots of people."

Their focus is only on the dollar. That's why 'that product' is dangerous. It is dangerous to the tobacco dollar itself, and every other dollar from every other thing generated by it and it's use.

I'm sorta inclined to ask my doctor, who is very happy re: my 'switch', if he would write a script for me if I needed one to continue vaping, legally. That is exactly how I would word it to him too.
