The Vamo is tried and true BUT quality is sub-par. The Zmax has HORRIBLE air flow. Just stay away from the SID... too many friends keep asking me to fix them. The Evic is nice but the software for it is a pain to get working correctly. Does the Provari do anything the others can't? Nope. But its build quality is the main factor. If you plan on vaping awhile and want a good quality APV the Provari is a good choice. Though the others are not bad choices it just depends if you like messing with your gear. You might also want to look at the Lavatube from Volcano... its build quality is superb and comes with a warranty AND does more than the Provari with variable wattage and a higher amp limit all while not costing as much too.

The LavaTube has never mowed my lawn. Just sayin'.

I just bought my 4th ProVari....just now in the classifieds. To be honest, its not for me, Its gonna be a Christmas present to someone I kn ow.

But I guess you could say that I like them.

Coincidentally, I purchased my fifth off the classies last week. Also a Christmas present - for my son. It arrived from Hawaii yesterday, and the freaking thing is in pristine condition. I could actually lie to him, and tell him that it's brand new. But I won't.

At least I don't THINK I will ;-)

Congrats, and I hope YOUR recipient is as happy as mine is sure to be.

It sounds as though you have quite a few eGo threaded toppers. So when you order your ProVari, make sure you pick up a 510 to eGo adapter from ProVape. Trust me on this. ALL other brands are cheap cast pot metal chromed :censored: crap. The ones from ProVape are machined stainless steel and brass. But, don't be surprised if 1/3 of the eGo threaded things you own don't fit though. The loose tolerances on the knockoffs (of eGo, Vision, and Kanger) are appalling.

To all my new friends on this thread...I'm doing it! I'll be able to get my hands on a provari at a b&m on the 17th. My question is whether I would have it sooner than that if I were to order it from Provape. Seems like with processing and shipping I'm better off waiting and buying it in person. The markup is a whopping $10. Thoughts?
