Do yourself a favor and start out with the correct batteries, AW IMR's are recommended, both for performance, and their safety factor. If you're knowledgable about batteries, then pick some that have a high enough amp rating to be safe. If you're not so knowledgable about batteries, get the AW IMR's (a few of them), then read up on it (if you're inclined to tinker). If you don't already have a multimeter, I'd suggest one of those too. RTDVapor carries both.

Oh, and a rebuild kit for the REO "just in case", i.e., if you have it, you'll never need it, if you don't, then you will :)

I second what jwat82 said about the RM3, it's quite new, BUT Robert don't sell no trash. The RM2 is an excellent value, easy to work with and a stellar vape :)

You will need Battery. I would suggest you use the recommended ones at reosmods. That link should take you to RTD Vapor. You will also need an atomizer. cartomizer or Rebuildable. If you go with an RBA, take the time to learn about them. The REOS, unlike your Regulated ProVari, is a strait up Mechanical Mod. Ohms Testing will need to be part of your rebuilding process. Dead Short in a REOS will cause the Battery Spring to collapse, at best. I've never done that, but a Voltmeter is one of my RBA tools. It might take a few days to get used to a Bottom- Feed Mod (squonking) but it's worth it. Keep in Touch, let us know how you are doing.

Ok, so if I go with a LP mini, will I need a 18490 or 18500? Button top I'm assuming? Also will I need a sub-ohm kit? I use LR builds quite often on my mechs and will probably do so with the reo as well.

Any REO you buy off the site now already has the sub-ohm kit installed. He's selling the kits so that we can upgrade our older REOs. The Mini 2.1 takes 18490 batteries.....the AW IMR 18490 is the recommended battery. An 18500 will fit.

edit : yes, button top.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. My question is can you put a reg. reomizer 2.0 on a LP Reo. He is out of stock of the LP brass one that I want.

Just in case you are interested in doing this, you can buy the LP silver rm2 and sand it down. You an use a fingernail file even. It sands down to a nice brass. It won't be shiny, but it looks cool. Plus you save $10.

Awesome! You guys are great. My gf's gonna kill me though. I can't stop buying vaping gear. I've already purchased a couple zenith accessories and know about to by a lp and some batts. Oh well, at least I'm off the analogs. You can't put a value on Health

This is all tongue in cheek, but here's how it usually goes...

Stages leading to Vaping Nirvana:

1) Discover vaping, probably with a cigalike
2) Chase the ultimate vape, upgrade to ego, etc.
3) Discover dripping, such flavor!
4) (somewhere along in here, we realize we're spending as much on vaping as we did on cigarettes, but hey, we're not smoking, right?)
5) Hear about REOs, but think, "Nah, it looks like a box for crying out loud"
6) Continue to chase better vape, increasingly aware of the costs. And that REO thing keeps popping up here and there.
7) Break down and finally HAVE to know what all the talk is about and buy a REO....but only 1
8) Receive REO, BAM! Finally, it doesn't get any better than this.
8.5) Man, I need to have a backup for this thing, what if I lose it?
9) Notice all the talk about rebuilding, order an RM2 (again, BAM! doesn't get any better than this, and easy. And cheap.)
9.5) Hook girlfriend/wife/significant other almost accidentally. "I said you could TRY it, not HAVE it".
10) DIY? I wonder what all the fuss is about? Besides, I'm not spending like I used to, in fact, I'm actually saving money.
11) Dang shame all this other gear is just laying around unused, hmmm, maybe I can fund more REOs if I put them in the classies.
12) Look at that! I haven't bought anything for 3 months, say, maybe I'll try out one of those new rebuildables and see what all the fuss is about....or maybe not :)

That's exactly where I'm at right now. In between 7 & 8. Only problem is gf has never smoked and she can't stand it. She can deal with the ego's better than my drippers. I have to go outside to vape. But it's ok, cause I'm like "you need to iron my clothes and bake me some cookies woman". Just kidding.

On a serious note, I just picked up a LP reo on the classies with a reomizer for a buck fifty. I'm super stoked
