I'm surprised UPS hasn't created a cheaper price for smaller items, creating competition for the USPS. At nearly $10 for ground shipping I understand why we don't use it. UPS needs to take advantage of the USPS failure rate. Anyone agree?

Not at all, USPS cuts more corners so they can charge cheaper prices we don't need another clone.

My buddy wanted to try vaping so he ordered a kgo kit and some accessories from my account, about $80 worth of stuff. Called him up last week to see how he liked it and he said he never got it, so I checked the tracking #...Shipped out 6/11 @ 4pm from Greensburg, IN...9pm Processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility, Indianapolis,IN. No more info. Started an investigation last thursday and my local post office called me friday asking about the package size and the address info. Called USPS today to see how the investigation is going, and they told me to contact my local post office. Now why would my local post office in IL have anything to do with a lost package in Indianapolis!?!?! Intelligence is obviously gone at USPS nowadays. I dont see how they are going to investigate anything unless they actually have to pay up. I doubt they will find it. This is the first package that Ive ever had lost. Amazing that it took them less than 5 hrs to loose it. Lesson learned, get insurance from now on:facepalm:Pretty sure my buddy is gonna be ticked that he just waisted $80 and probably will be discouraged from vaping now.

Advice for others: Dont use USPS if possible.
Get insurance on everything when using USPS!!!!!

Ive never been a fan of insurance and this is why...
My dad ordered a flatscreen monitor a few years ago when they were still kinda expensive and requested $1000 insurance on the shipping. They lost his monitor, the shipper wasnt much help, so after about a month of investigations and his $600 in the shippers hands, they insured his lost monitor. Did my dad get the $1000 insurance claim, you bet he didnt, even though he paid for it, the shipper gets the check and only gives my dad his $600 back.
Such a flawed/unfair system.
