Why not just stop logging in?

Obviously you no longer want to be active on ECF, but it can't hurt to let the account sit inactive in case you have a change of heart.

Not like ECF sends out e-mail spam or anything so i don't see the real benefit from having your account 'closed' or 'deleted'.

Point taken. But if I thought there was any chance that I'd like to be a part of the community in the future, I wouldn't be asking. I'd just rather cut all ties and be done. Apparently that entails all post remaining but all of my personal information and access being wiped. That's fine, I just want it done.

What personal information?

You aren't verified, so none of that information is attached to your account.

Aside from your e-mail, everything about you retained by the site is editable in your User Control Panel.

Remove the information (if any) from there, enter a fake email to replace your old one and log off, problem solved.

That's not official by any means. I'm inquiring about account closure from a fairly reputable social forum. Surely they have a better way of going about this.

Sure, lets waste mod's time to conform to some arbitrary definition of official, instead of just moving on.

You've sent the e-mails, i'm sure they will get to you when they find time to make it 'official'.

Best of luck!
