I inquired about that, and was told that although they intend to produce an Achilles II clone, production hasn't started. Meanwhile, these guys claim to have a V1, just not sure how much I trust them: ACHILLES - Titanium Mods Atomizer RBA - RDA Dual Mod Clone

Just received my 2 clones from them yesterday. Shipped next day, packaged well, works flawlessly. This is the best atty i have ever used. It has lived up to all the hype! So glad I bought 2. Not only do i have a backup, can run two different builds/flavors, but 2 only cost me $10 more than buying one with the discount the vendor offers.

Actually, I was pretty happy with them, that's where I got my achilles clone not too very long ago, fast delivery too, shipped out from florida. I was pretty happy, am vaping on it right now.

I'm half of a mind to pick up the lone remaining Achilles and get one of the Prometeys just to get the discount. But I'm a little leery of the V1 draw issue, and a rebuildable cartomizer? I haven't used a carto in years.

The V1 is a tight draw to be sure. If you need lots of air the V1 Achilles will likely disappoint.

A question for AndriaD: what type of juice do you typically run in your achilles clone? Do you use say, 50/50 or 70/30? I've tried both, using a 1.4 ohm coil at about 12/13 watts. Both juices vape well. I've always been partial to 50/50 juice but hadn't tried it in an rda like this...worked very well, vapes a little faster than the thicker stuff, but with the juice well and all its no problem.
I have some really thick juices and they do great in the Achilles. Things that never wicked well in the kayfun

I always use either 85P/15V or 84P/16V -- the 85% PG was what I went to when my asthma was giving me fits, but lately it's been better so I've gone back to 84/16 to see if I can handle it better now. Vaped it all day yesterday, and it seemed ok. I also tried out a slightly different coil yesterday; normally I use 29ga, 7 wraps around 3/32, about 1.7Ω, running at about 9w. Yesterday I tried out 28ga, 8 wraps (also around 3/32), 1.35Ω, running about 9.5w. I got a little better vapor out of that, though still not so much that it bothered my asthma... but I felt a little queasy all day, even though I *just* went from 7mg to 6mg; that slightly better vapor might have given me just a touch of nic-sick. I've gone back to my standard coil today, to see if that was really the problem, or if it was maybe something I ate.

Political -- I worked on one of my achilles air flow by reaming out the top of the air hole just below where the coil goes. The idea was to have one achilles of my 3 be a tad airier. I would call the results marginal and the effort very likely to produce bad results. Remember we're talking 100% titanium construction. What I might try if I had the tools was to actually cut the inside air stack off by a half or third-milimeter. since it is tapered, any reduction in height you could achieve would result in a slightly larger diameter air hole. In any case, I definitely recommend getting yourself a clone achilles.

If I'm understanding you correctly (and I think I am; you're talking about the cone directly beneath the coil), and end mill might well do the job. The problem is that I don't have a milling machine

In the meantime, I'm hanging on the promise of improved airflow in the V2.

I'm just hoping that it's still possible to get as tight a draw as the v1, even if it can be adjusted to more airflow for those who prefer it.

Waiting on reviews of just that, and also the shininess, when y'all get yours.

AndriaD, you must DIY, yes?

Yes absolutely -- I have so many odd requirements, I really had no choice but to start -- plus over a year ago I got scared that pre-made ejuice would soon cease to exist, or cost a bloody fortune (more of a bloody fortune than it already costs!) -- so I got busy learning to make my own. It's really not hard, but there's a lot of trial and error until you hit on a good recipe.

I asked because you mentioned 85P/15V. I've started dabbling again in DIY. Found I missed the throat hit with higher VG juice. And found I enjoyed the 50/50 juices in my achilles clone....I hadn't tried that in the Prometey, wondering whether the thinner juices would stay up in the batting or just dribble down the sides or not?

I don't know, TBH.. the only time I tried the Prometey, I just used it as a straight dripper.

For more TH, you might try FlavourArt's Flash additive; I get it at ECX -- I've had to use it since the very beginning, because I've always used a pretty low level of nic, but really need TH.

Andria, do you remove the draw adjustment screw in the base of the deck?
