*sigh*So here I am days from my 2nd anniversary on this forum, a year and a half clean from analogs and I'm stuck. This last week I decided it was time to quit vaping and be done with this habit. I have been nic free for a few weeks after having cut back my nic to almost nothing. Anyway I made it five days. The first few were easy enough being my days off. Then each day at work the stress has been mounting to where I on multiple occasions considered bumming a smoke. Since I don't want to go back there I went back to vaping.

Hey, at least you didn't start smoking again! I too hope to one day be free from nicotine but even when that day comes, I'll probably continue to vape if for no other reason then the fact that it's enjoyable. I expect I will do so a lot less frequently than I do today but I don't envision ever giving it up completely ... well, that is unless the government makes it a mortal sin to do so like they did with cigarettes which appears to be their objective.

Anyway, congrats on staying off the smokes!

Vape On! :)

Yup moonlessnight, you can always come back to vaping, so there is basically no risk. And good choice to do that instead of buying a pack!

Having said that, a few weeks at zero nic would not be enough for me to try to quit vaping. I've been at zero nic for a couple of months now. I'm currently lowering the amount I vape from about 4 ml a day which was my max. I'm at about 2 ml now. I suggest you try reducing slowly and see how that goes. My attitude is 'one step at a time' and so far it's worked well for me.

My plan is to find a throat hit replacement for nicotine for when I want to get to miniscule levels and then no nicotine. I'm thinking.. Cayenne Liquid Extract. And here's a review if interested.

I was looking at a Flavor West DIY flavoring additive called Capiscum Heat (from ecigexpress) thinking about it providing throat hit - please post your opinion once you try yours!

Choosing vaping over smoking was a victory itself! Just a small hiccup in the process - you'll get there, just like you got off the smokes ...
