tell her not to eat anything for 24-48 hours, and see how hungry she is. i'd say not drink anything for a day but that can be dangerous depending on her fitness level.

thats how much you want a smoke.. as much as she wants to search anywhere for a piece of food. and when she has food or doesnt make it through the fast.. tell her "see you just had a smoke!"

we are creatures of habit! and everyone has habits like their daily routine. If anything from that routine is broken it feels strange and out of place. It makes you feel like there may something you are forgetting or just doesnt give yo that fuzzy feeling inside.
Smoking is an addiction yes. But it is also a friend that you have been with for a long long time, even though this friend doesnt treat you as well as you would like, he has been there for you through thick and thin, and you could always count on him to give you that little bit of comfort when you needed it most.
Whe you need a shoulder to cry on, who was always there with you? your cigarette!
When you got that new job and needed to celebrate, who was there with you?
Your rolled tobacco friend has been there with you. As a matter of fact, I am going to assume he has been with you for as long as you have known your wife. Its not easy to give up something that has been with you for a huge part of your life. Oh yeah, then theres the addiction to the Nicotine part too!!
