Adding alcohol for TH?

A drop at a time? I think it will depend on your taste buds, what you consider a good TH, the thickness of your juice (can't make it too thin), and the proof of the alcohol.
I would drip from a 3ml bottle adding a drop or two of alcohol until you find what works for you and then apply that to a larger batch. You might need to add some VG after awhile if the juice gets too thin.

Less than 10% should be enough to add TH. You can always add more - tough to take it out!
I've heard a ratio of 10% thrown around for adding PGA. Probably a good place to start.

I use a little less than 10% with my 151. Of course, 151 is only suitable for certain liquid flavors.
Thanks guys I'm gonna give it a try. Also I second is regular Vodka acceptable as I can get it way cheaper.
It doesn't matter much to my taste buds. I can use Everclear, Tequila, or Vodka and it doesn't change the flavor. So the quality of vodka probably doesn't matter too much either.

I sent my 23 year old son to liquor store for everclear, the smallest bottle he could get so I could make menthol drops. He was told Everclear was no longer sold in Ohio. Any suggestions on another type of alcohol for making menthol drops?...Deitra
I've had great luck using 100 proof vodka at 10%. PGA not available in PA either. Only brand I could find in PA was Absolut 100.
Ditto. Might take a trip to Jersey for everclear, but its not a big issue. 10% cheap-... 100-proof vodka works for me for TH and also thinning my VG juices a bit. With VG you need to thin it somewhat to avoid cloggies. The others, like whiskey, scotch or rum will add their own flavors.
I've used vanilla extract as the thinner in my vanilla DIY juice, since it is primarily ethanol. I've also heard of people using flavored vodkas to thin, although some flavors come through and some don't.

I've added 2 drops of Courvoisier cognac to my 510 carts (blue foam plug) and then adding
10 drops my choice of Virginia, 555, Flue Cured or capppuccino. The cognac flavor comes through and it gives a good TH and vapor.

Question about adding alcohol (as you can see from my post count I'm newer than new here so forgive me if there's a discussion I've missed somewhere else).
Do you add it to thin out VG juice, or for flavoring, or for a buzz (can't imagine you'd feel anything from that small of an amount), or just because it makes for a stronger TH?
Or all of the above?

All of the above with the exception of catching a buzz. There might be 5 drops of Everclear in each cart with my DIY juices.
I mainly use it to thin out VG when making my own juice. I haven't tested to see if it helps much with TH, but it wouldn't surprise me and I've heard it mentioned more than once on ECF. I can't tell what alcohol I used, so I don't do it for flavoring.
