The bosses are tinkering with different advertising deployments.

There's a reason why I use uBlock Origin.
Now that's some funny sh^htuff right there -- the forum's own administrator recommending an ad-blocker.

Not funny at all. I consider a good ad blocker as part of my security arsenal. There's still far too much malware being distributed via malvertising. A good ad blocking addon is a must as part of your security tool set.

I'm getting cancer ads on the bottom banner now. If they want to run ads, can they at least filter them for relevance?

Generally, the advertising is controlled by the company distributing the ads. I'll pass it along though, just in case there's a setting they can use.

No question. I wouldn't dream of using a browser w/o and ad blocker.

But... Aren't ads the primary source of revenue for this site?

Running current release of Firefox (55.0.3) with AdBlock Plus and NoScript, don't see any of the ads.
So I just installed the Firefox & the 2 add ons you mentioned. Posting is different & it asked to confirm liking your post. Is this normal?
