my biggest problem i have had thus far with the inferno kit is there is a lot of clearos that are not compatible with it without modification or additional adapters overall its quality and it never hurts to have a few pass through devices as backups i tend to toss a 510 atty on one and test out juices with it so not all lost just wish i had looked around a lil more before the mall kiosk sucked me in lol

I'm thinking of a VAMO, but I have too many little batteries, and will wait for at least a COUPLE to die. Maybe.

First got 510's and liked em, so I got more (and longer ones). Then started collecting Ego's.
I will continue to use them - I want something slim to carry in a shirt pocket while working, etc.

But the VAMO does look like it might be my next step :)
Or maybe a Sigelei Zmax? Not that much more...

I think for someone moving from disposables or stinkys, going to an Ego type setup for awhile with some carts or clearos is a good start. The person can concentrate on finding their favorite juice and hone up on bigger and better gear that's available and how to operate it properly and safely. I will always use a small 400 mah batt with a clearos while wade fishing and carry my e-Cab to the store or a restaurant. The big stuff is for a home and on trips while driving. I think a rookie with no electronic experience, could be in for a world of hurt messing with some 18650 batts without gaining some experience first from reading up on them and understanding how Ohms-Volts and Amps plays into vaping with advanced gear.

i skipped the ego initially only to break my lava tube, a friend lent me a ego c for a month and it worked. to be honest im thinking of just buying an ego c for my car or a spare just incase i run into problems with my rda on my mech. its a great starter kit for someone who just wants something to get away from cigs till they can find a good mod with the features they want.

I had an ego-c and was looking all around for a new apv. I decided to go with the provari after everyone at the vape store was like, after the vamo and z max I just bought the provari and never looked back. I did my research on here and it is the best thing I could have bought. I'm in love with it. And to think about it the provari is vv and vw. All you need to do is math a little to achieve that (voltage*voltage/resistance or ohm). I was thinking of getting a vamo but you can't go wrong with american made.

There's some really great ego's out there now. What comes to mind is the new iTaste V3. It's an 800mah battery but has both variable power and variable voltage, a resistance reader (obviously for vw), a puff counter, 510 and ego threading, it's slightly longer than an ego 650mAh battery, comes in four colors, makes a great primary, backup and take-out battery, has a usb passthrough to micro connection (same as many cell phones), etc. I would say that if a newb started with this ego-type device, you might never need to get a mod. It has everything that a mod has except bigger batteries. However, bigger batteries and chargers add to entry costs, and entry costs ARE a barrier to entry for new vapers. These devices are not inexpensive. The best price I have seen is $34.95 at iVape:

https://ivape.net/index.php/iTaste-VV-3.0-Variable-Wattage-Device-Pearl-Chrome.html

Shipping is free, so about the same cost as a spinner/twist with shipping costs. Kit include 2 clearomizers, chargers, etc. Practically everything you could want in a mod/APV is there with the exception of day long battery life (for me at least). So get two maybe. Anyway, my two cents (again).
