Looking for a quality VV battery to put my ProTank on. I have heard VV are better then regular old batteries. Also heard the VAMO is nice but not sure if ProTank works with it. The VAMO automatically detects the heads power I heard and adjusts accordingly? Fairly new to vaping ( 3 weeks ) and not really too sure about whats available. I am currently using regular old 650mah EGO batteries.

A vamo will work with a protank as will most 510 threaded devices. As for the vamo detecting the resistance... that's only if you are in variable wattage mode and even then.you have to set the wattage atleast once. I prefer the innokin SVD myself but the vamo works just aswell but may or may not last as long. I believe vamo is one of the cheaper apvs but works about as good as higher priced mods.

The Vamo/Pro Tank combo works great, I have no hesitation in recommending either, or both, of these devices.

But to clear up some thing else, the heads, or coils, in any carto, atty, clearo, or whatever, have no power, they have resistance, they obstruct the flow of electric current, and in obstructing the flow of current they become warm or hot, when they become hot they vaporize the juice - hence the term vaping.

The Vamo, and many other APV devices, will read the resistance of the coil, and if the device is set for variable watts, will automatically adjust the voltage output of the APV to your preset wattage level. If you like vaping at 8 watts the VW devices will read the resistance of the coil and then adjust the output voltage accordingly.

Vamo is an excellent entry level APV that will do what you are asking about. What you are talking about is called variable wattage or variable power. Not all variable voltage devices have variable power. The Ohm's meter on the variable power/wattage devices is what provides the ability to detect the resistance of the coil heads you will be using. Highly recommended. I do not, and will not own an APV that does not have a Ohm's meter, except for mechanical mods, which are not APV's, but that's a different conversation. The Vamo V3 will work on virtually any topper in the market place. They are fabulously priced. The best price for a kit, which you will need, is:

Found 32 vamo at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Several choices. Recommend the V3 in Stainless Steel. Very nice piece of equipment, Remember the kit. You need batteries and a charger for the device in addition to the topper and the juice. The Protank is excellent, even better when paired with an air flow controller:

Tank Airflow Controller

The AFC allows you to customize the draw. The Protank is notoriously "airy" but with the AFC, you can tighten the draw to match any draw you like. Highly recommended. Best to you!

Thanks. A couple more questions, will the VV give me more vapor? I find that sometimes I dont get as much vapor as I would like with my EGO batteries. Also would the innokin SVD work with a Protank as well? I also have the money that I could buy a Provari if those are actually worth it?

If you're using JoyeTech eGo batts they only fire @ 3.3 volts. Vamo fires up to 6 volts BUT most of us use the wattage setting as it's basically set and forget.

Yes, the variable voltage/wattage allows you to adjust the vape to suit your preference. Couple that ability with the right PG/VG combination in your juice (VG provides more vapor, PG provides more throat hit), and the right topper, and you're in business.

What do you mean by topper? And these can take the 18650 batteries ( i think thats what they are called ) ? Also I already own a few ProTanks, so could I just buy the V3 battery compartment and the 18650 batteries and a charge and I'd be good to go?

Like that?

Thank you again, think I am going to go ahead and purchase what I linked then. Going to search around since I know fasttech is in China, would like something closer in the USA if possible :) Also am I right in assuming the higher you set the VAMO the more vape you will get? And is it also possible to set it to high and burn your juice?

Ok the one I linked and this one there is one difference, the one I linked before has a 510 connector listed in what comes with it. This one $58.85 Vamo V3 Stainless Steel Variable Voltage E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set - with Nitecore I2 US battery charger / 2*Panasonic CGR18650CH 18650 batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping however does not. What is the 510 connector? Is it just a skirt so it looks better or what? I want the stainless one but if I need that 510 connector and it doesnt come with, I will just buy the one I linked before.

Yes on the Vamo, the batts and the charger. Topper is the term for the juice delivery device, be it clearo, carto, tank, RBA, RDA, etc. Your Protank is a clearomizer. Yeah, that's a sweet setup. Good luck.

Yes, this would be the one I ordered. The 510 connector is what your tank screws into the battery. The Vamo also has ego threading for use on devices like EVOD's. The V3 has a wider skirt/drip well that will even accommodate the wider Kanger T3's. It's really quite a good device and very well priced. Fasttech is two weeks for delivery, but reliable and inexpensive. Have used many times.
