Advice for the best unit

I just started vaping 3 weeks ago. I tested the waters with disposables which were not satisfying at all. After reading a ton of posts on this forum and vids on youtube I bought a 900mah ego kit, it came with 2 ego batteries and 2 CE4 Clearomizers. The setup was very satisfying but I also read positive things about the VV devices so I found a Smoktech Winder 1100mah at a local shop over the weekend, it's great for dialing in the optimal setting to get the most out of different flavored juices. It's a bit longer and broader than the ego so I don't see me taking it on the road. As for tanks I bought a SmokTech 510 Dual Coil tank with cartomizers, it's ok but it's not the best for swapping flavors and I experienced too much flooding, I bought the Kanger Mini Protank because the material won't have a melt down with certain juices but it gives too cool and airy a hit for me personally, I found I need the throat hit that top coils provide. I just bought 2 CE5's so I can swap out the heads when they go bad, they give a pretty nice hit. Right now I'm vaping with the Vision V-Fate 2.0ml tank that came in the mail today on my standard ego and this thing is awesome. Nice tight hit, great throat hit, and tons of vapor. I hope my quest is over for now. I guess it's all in what you're looking for. These boards and YouTube reviews are your best bet.

Get extra clearos eventually, you can set up different flavors and then swap clearos much as you like. I have about seven different filled ones right now and switch flavors on a whim. Like now, it's banana time. :D

Hope not to sound stupid...but...how do you keep track of which flavor is in which clearo ?

Actually, that's a really good question. Lots of people have different methods, but I use nail art stickers to decorate my clearos, then just try to remember which one holds which flavor. You could also put a matching sticker on the juice bottle. Some people buy tiny rubberbands and put the same color around the clearo or carto and the bottle. I used to use labels and write the juice name on it, then cut it down to a small size and put it on the clearo. Many people do that, but I got tired of the writing bleeding when it leaked, and the nail stickers are more permanent (although they DO scrape off if you want to remove them) and they are cuter!

That rubberband idea is pretty smart, I guess the trick would be finding enough colors if you have a lot of clearos. :)

I have a joye ego c twist 1000mah with kanger evod tank. Very easy to manage. Replacing the coils is very easy too...just buy the replacement ones, screw off the old one, screw in the new one, done!

I have my first mechanical mod coming (smok magneto). The ego batteries dont seem sturdy and cost another $25-$30 to replace unless I go with knockoffs from fasttech which seem to get okay reviews. The mechanical mod cost me $34, replacement batteries cost $6 each, and are basically indestructible since there are no electrical parts. The higher end mech mods look really nice and I'm sure they ooze quality. As of right now I can't completely wrap my brain around the idea of spending $200 on a mech mod, but I am slowly but surely convincing myself to getting one.

I currently have the vamo, but it is big. When I first started vaping I bought the ego twist and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend the vivi nova mini tank it has great flavor and vapes like an analog. It's a really delicate balance to find a great vape and cig style forum you like.
The way I look at it is if it keeps me from analogs then the benefits def put weighs how I look. I truely believe vaping has saved my life and every aspect of life life is enhanced then when I was a "smoker." YouTube is great grimmgreen has some great videos on newbie vaping. Do your research and use this forum for any questions. There are plenty of people willing to help you out on here. It's been a blessing to me on my journey to vaping.

The Vamo is pretty good, and in 18350 mode it's not all that big, I carry it about once in a while with an Evod on top and have yet to have anyone question it even in a smallish southern town, maybe cause there's a vape shop in town and people are used to it? Never seen anyone else around here vaping though, not even Blu disposables all our gas stations have. If the Vamo is too big for your tastes, I agree about the eGo Spinner/Twist type devices, and Evods or Vivi Nova Minis for toppers. Personally I like the Evod better and I've used both, but some are the opposite. Also Fasttech has Protanks for $12 or so right now, if you don't mind waiting a week on 'em..I ordered a couple for myself based on reviews, and you'll be able to vape 'tank-killers' in them without risk.

I would also like to see what suggestions are best. I have a BLU starter kit, that i've been using for about 7 months, but not only does it seem expensive, it doesn't really satisfy my cravings. I seem to go back to real cigarettes every 2 weeks or so. My question however, is what is the best setup for the best price. From what i've been reading the most efficient and cost effective units are the EGO units. (The Ego VIVI looks neat.) But there seems to be a lot of technicalities. (the 510 batteries, the 310, Ego, and flashlight batteries, the different "MAHs", Clearomizers, atomizers, etc.) Quite simply, i would like a good unit that will last me a good portion of the day battery and liquid wise, that doesn't require me to buy replacement parts every week. And more importantly, will it cost me $150? I would like to keep my budget under $100 to start out. I'm also with WyldRaider here, is there anything out there that doesn't look like i'm vaping a police baton? :p

Mah is basically just how long the battery will last on each charge, milliamp hours. the higher the number the longer it will last on a charge. cell phone batteries are rated in mah as well...1200 mah is a monster cell phone battery for phones with big processors like a note 2, and 1500 mah is usually sold as an extended life battery...hth

rounding third and heading home...
to identify the many juices my wife and are using and past juices get a cheap brother pt-90 label printer. when the juice comes in I print a label and stick the end on the bottle. when i put juice into anything I put the label on the clearo. when done peel it off and stick it(they are re-usable) either back on the bottle or anywhere for the next time. simple and easy with no forgetting what color band means what. also , since we are 4 pages into a thread asking for advice I feel it is a duty to point out that you need to get a provari- that is all(my job is done here).

Once upon a time I was all hot to trot to get a Provari -- but not right now, I'm not. Now that I've enjoyed variable power, my Provari fantasies are on hold until they bust out a version of that with variable power capability.

One thing I am thinking a lot more about lately is finding a sweet little mech I can drop an 18350 and a kick into, get my VW fun with a more compact and more durable device.
