like Denvap0r says there, I haven't made any yet but already I can see the price advantages in this, if you compare a 14.99 30ml of premium liquid...this would work out about 40p for the same...not just a small difference :)

I use 2.5ml of nicotine base liquid per 20ml of e liquid. The base liquid cost £16.99 for 250ml. 2.5ml is 1% of 250ml, so 1% of £16.99 is 16.99p.

My flavouring cost £5 per 30ml. I use 3ml of flavouring per 20ml of e liquid. 3ml is 10% of 30ml, so 10% of £5 is 50P.

My VG cost £16.99 for 5 litres. I use 14.5ml of VG per 20ml of e liquid. 14.5ml is 0.029% 0f 5000ml, but i can't work out how much that costs but it's less than a penny.

The PG cost is as negligable as the VG.

19.99p - nic base
50.00p - flavouring
00.00p - VG
00.00P - PG

= 69.99p

I used to pay £20 for 50ml of e liquid. Now i'm spending what, 69.99p per 20ml, so x 69.99p by 2.5 = £1.75p

There you go. I'm paying £1.75 for 50ml of e liquid. That's a saving of £18.25. 50ml of e liquid lasts me about 10 days. 365 days a year = 36.5 fifty mil bottles used a year. The original cost per year = £730. D.I.Y. cost per year = about £64. A saving of £666 a year.

I think i got that about right.

And did you notice that the flavouring costs much more than any other ingredient. It costs two and a half times the cost of nicotine base. Best not to use too much of that eh, it cost too much !.

I recently got into the DIY. I quickly found the syringes are a PITA and moved to graduated cylinders and a funnel, much more convenient and easier to clean. The syringes also lose their markings fairly easily. You can pick up a glass set of cylinders that includes a 10ml, 50ml and 100ml on amazon for less than $20.
