Okay, I've got a huge cart waiting at provape. I think I want a Provari... Hmmm expensive as sin. But I really need an adjustable vaping tool here. So here's the deal this is what I want to achieve from this thread:

1. Feed Back on the Provari and its accessories.

2. tank solutions for the Provari...because I absolutely hate poly-fill. I don't like cartomizers, so I need something that lets the juice stand alone.

3. A chance to say Happy New Year to everyone here at ECF!

The ProVari is a great buy. I've had mine for 8 months and it's never let me down. VV is the way to go and the ProVari is, in my personal opinion, the best VV e-cig on the market today.

I only have one tank, the original MAP Tank, but I absolutely love it. I like the taste I get from dripping and the CE2 MAP Tank gives me that same great taste without having to drip. There are lot more options for tanks now than there was when I bought mine, like the DCT, Liquinator, and LavaTank. I can't speak for those but I'm sure someone else here can.

I ordered the provari starter kit ......... then ordered a bunch of different tanks cause' I am clueless as what works and what does not.

here is what i ordered:

3446 Dual Coil 510 Chrome Tank Cartomizer, 3.5ml. Mad Vaps
3445 Dual Coil 510 Chrome Tank Cartomizer, 5ml. Mad Vaps
Assembled Mini-Sub Tank with Boge 2.0 cartomizer. Mom and Pop Vapor Store
BDV "Lil' Mama" 3ml Stainless Steel Cap Tank Kit. Big Daddy
BDV "Big Daddy" 5ml Stainless Steel Cap Tank Kit. Big Daddy
Extra Cartomizers for both Big and Lil'. Big Daddy

Clouds of Vapor sells the MAP tanks. He still has the original CE2 MAP Tank but there is also a new MAP Tank out that uses a Dual-Coil Cartomizer called the DCT Tank.

You can buy replacement CE2's pre-cut directly from CoV or you can buy them in packs of 5 for like $10 and cut them yourself. To cut them yourself you just need a small pipe cutter. I just bought some of the CE2 revision 5's from nHaler last week for $10 to use in my tank and I'm really liking them. That's only $2 for a CE2 that will probably last well over a month if I take good care of it. These things are cheap and last a good while.

I don't know anything about tanks which is most of the problem that I am having at this point. When you look on the provari website they have ego adapters and tanks... but I have no clue if that means that the tanks mean I don't have to have a cartomizer... or if that means its straight to an atomizer... seriously... Juice I know. Equipment... not so much so all these suggestions are going to be awesome in helping me figure out the right way to go.

I had a provari and it seemed to very figity....I would stick with something cheaper like and EGO or a 510....I prefer EGO 900mah using LR Attys but make sure you using authentic Joye attys. I alwasy order from Vapor Kings in bulk so 50$ for 10 LR attys and thats a awesome deal and 10 attys will last almost a year if you treat them right!

I tried almost every mod out there and I will tell you that the Provari is the best for tanks. I love my Darwin for dripping and I use a tank on it occasionally...but nothing looks better IMO than a Provari with a cartomizer tank on it. I also had no love for carto's in the past, before the tanks.

I have used 1.5 (4.1-4.2v) and 3.0 Dual Coils (4.7-5.1v) in my SS big daddy tank ( I got SS tubes for it as well so I don't have to worry if I have a juice that might crack the poly, though I have never had that happen) and the flavor is much like dripping. IMO even with dripping I might get a dry or burnt taste occasionally if I forget to drip or something.

I think flavor wise I have had the best flavor (most like dripping) with Boge 3.0 cartomizers (4.7) and 801 Fusion Cartomizers (4.8v) (Madvapes...make sure to get the shorty 501 bat to 801 atomizer shorty/stealth adaptor). Get a cartomizer that is pre-punched (I got these to see hole size and get an idea about how others do it) or get a Saddle valve from Big Daddy or Home Depot to punch one 2 mm hole.

Use the condum method with a spin to fill the cartomizer, let it sit and keep dripping it till it won't hold any more juice, blow out the access and then poke the hole and put it in the tank.

If you use the voltages I have explained you will not run the risk of pulling errors on the Provari and you won't burn the cartomizers.

I also had pretty good luck with the MAP CE2 Tank on the provari, but you have to keep them pretty full or run the risk of many dry hits, or keep turning it over before you hit it. No matter what I did, I still ended up with some dry burnt hits occasionaly...and you have to run those much lower in voltage than you would with an atomizer at the same Ohms. I am keeping my MAP CE2 tank just incase they come out with some amazing new CE cartomizers. :vapor:

A note on the above , I use EGO-T but I do not like the EGO T attys I find them not able to keep up with my vaping and they also make your juice lose alot of flavor. They do work well at first though but if you do get the Ego T attys make sure you get all that primer fluid out first. They have the most primer fluild I have ever seen in any Atty EVER!!

I pretty much set my provaris stick a 3ml carto tank on them and vape it until ether the juice runs out or the batteries need to be changed ether way its all day vaping really nothing figity about it but not every device is for everybody as long as you have something that works for you is all that really matters

The tanks that ProVape sells are the eGo Tanks. You don't want that one. You want a tank that takes either a CE2 cartomizer, OR a normal cartomizer like those made by Boge (or maybe a dual coil tank but probably don't want to go there yet.. I know I don't).

The CE2 type tanks, like theMAP Tank, use the inside of a CE2 atomizer. When you buy replacement CE2's for a CE2 type tank you need to cut off the outer casing. I have a post here where I show step-by-step pictures on how that is done. It's really easy.

The carto type tanks like the Liquinator use a normal type cartomizer. These cartomizers must also be modified before using them in a tank unless you buy them already punched. The carto's need holes punched in them so the juice can flow to the coil.

Which type tank is better? I have no idea. I only have experience with the CE2 tank and all I can say about it is that the CE2's last a very long time and they are very easy to clean because they are fully exposed.

I have a Provari with a lil mama tank. igetcha69 has an awesome lil mama tank review on YouTube. I love it! The taste is unbelievable. I have been using the 1.5 cartomizers, but can only vape up to 4.0Volts without an error. I haven't been able to find any pre-punched 3.0s. So I'm going to suck it up and buy a thing to punch with at some point. But it actuality, 3.9volts on the provari, with the lil mama has been so good, that I have just been putting it off. I also just got REALLY LUCKY and was able to get a lava tank from jonboyusmc, i can't wait for it to get here.

Love my ProVari! But if you do not like the taste of the polyfil in regular cartos, then you might want to go a completely different route: go to a Vapemate from SuperT with regular atty's. I got tuned off to the CE2's since I cracked two boxes of them with two boxes to go. IMHO, they do not even make a good golf tee.

The Vapemate on top of a ProVari looks a bit strange but works like a charm! It's an easy set up to clean when you change to another juice; all you have to do is flush it with water. Just fill it with juice and you are ready to go. On the other hand, the ProVari, as much as I like it, is not something I want to carry in my pocket when out and about; but it is great for home, office, or long car trips.
