So I've finally gotten an approval from my wife for getting one! :D Need some advice on what to get from the community here. Will probably be getting a metal REO grand. On to the questions:

1. Low-profile or normal REO grand. What is the difference? Can the normal REO grand fit normal standard 510 RDAs (i.e. Cyclone, IGOs etc)? Or do I need the low-profile version for that.

2. What's the difference between the RM2 and RM2 for the low-profile? Is it just for compatibility? Or catch cup is different etc?

3. Saw there is IGO BF listed on reosmods. Is that the IGO-F modded into a bottom feed? I recently purchased an IGO-F bottomfed/dripper rda. Wondering if it is the same as the one on reosmods.

4. Heard there is an upgrade kit for the contacts on reos coming up. Will it be fitted in the REO grand if I order now? Or will I have to purchase the upgrade kit later on?

Any additional advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

1. The LP will give you more options, but not as good for a regular atty or carto due to the lack of "well".
2. Non milled on the LP version. Milled will fit all metal reos.
3. Just got mine, love it. It will work great with either grand as is.
4. If you order before release, you need to buy the upgrade. If you wait, you get the upgrade with your grand. My advice, don't wait...but buy the upgrade and save your stock parts after as a repair kit for emergencies. It's mainly for sub ohm users...but should have a positive effect on battery life for all of us.

Post a pic! Got a color in mind?

What was the wait time when you ordered?

I'm also ready to buy a grand, but thinking I should wait for the contact upgraded model. Have no interest in sub ohming , but my understanding is that it will have better battery life and it will be better suited for flat top batteries, with I have plenty of. Could be wrong though.

The vape is that good that I would not wait, he said it could be up to 8 weeks for the new kits. The drip well on the standard is higher then the LP. A standard Cyclone will work on either but a Cyclone with the AFC cap will only work on the LP. the standard RM2 has the based milled to fit in the standard Grand, the LP RM2 is not milled. I believe it's an IGO-s and will work on either.

the new kit is for sub ohming and should give better battery life and better contact on flat tops. If you use plenty of noalox and don't go below .7 ohms the current firing pin should be fine with flat tops, plenty here run them.

So I finally received my LP REO grand and I must say the quality and feel of it is incredible.

Only minor drawback is I noticed a significant scratch on the inside of the mod which had a chunk of paint off. You can see the aluminium inside.

Otherwise its superb from the outside. Its smaller than I thought but fits perfectly in my hand. Did a quick wipe and clean on the RM2 and the catch cup and fitted in a twisted 32awg coil coming in at 1 ohms. Vapor was so so but really hits hard. So I decided to play dangerous and tried a dual micro coil 9 wrap 28awg coming in at 0.58 ohms. Hits perfectly like my IGO RDAs. 1 squonk every 2 hits. Gotta get used to squonking though. Can't wait for the modded IGO-W and the sub ohm kits coming out soon :D Overall very satisfied with my purchase! Very professional from Rob with instructions and the packaging and all. Im already eyeing the REO mini for my wife :D
