I converted my IGO-L's and Phoenix V4's by removing the center pin, filing 2 small grooves into the insulator for the juice to flow to and from the deck, then reassembling. It takes less than 5 minutes each. They work great! There is a thread around here somewhere showing the process. Good Luck! The Reomizers from Reosmods are fantastic if you decide to try one.

You may as well go ahead and pick out Reo #2...ask me how I know lol.

I'm thinking about the "slot" method because I could use my Dremel with the diamond blade. Does that method work as well as the center pin hole?

I did the outside of the insulator itself, not the center pin. I did mine with a small triangular file. 4 or 5 swipes and you're done.

So those tiny, tiny holes supply the juice supply. I will try that on one of my chinese cheapos as well. Thanx.
So far, I'm going to experiment with a Patriot clone and a Magma. I really like the Magma so I'm gonna drill the center pin on that (hopefully)

Yeah you definitely need to check out The BF experiment thread

Thanks redeye.
I feel honored with the welcome I've received here!
I was actually debating between the REO and the BilletBox. Although the BilletBox looks to be a beautifully engineered product, I was a little concerned that I didn't have the versatility I will have with the REO. I've tried cartos and the like, and they are OK but I would not want to use one as my daily driver. I like the fact that it is easy to use a wide range of attys, cartos, drippers, etc. with the REO, much more limited and difficult with the BB,and that was the deciding factor. If I *really* need VV, there is always the option to use a Kick, but I'm sure I won't need it.

Or you can stand watch for VV Reo's in the classifieds. They come up every now and again.

Hello fellow S. Floridian REO person!
The versatility of actually having a dripper without all the "work", carrying around a bottle of juice, etc. was most important to me. I understand why the VV's were discontinued. I think it is commendable that if a small producer cannot properly support and warranty a product due to the electronics he needs to purchase from an outside vendor, better not to sell it at all. At least that's the way I understand it. No biggie for me....

Plantation, actually.

Not too far at all.. If ever in the North Miami area (near Pines, actually), check out a B&M named The Vapour Cafe. Bunch of real knowledgable dudes and great devices in stock. You may catch me in there on the weekends, too.

Cheers and enjoy that Reo. ;)

I just ordered a new lp/sl grand! Kawasaki green with black wrinkle door! I'm not usually into green, but that's a sweet looking green! This is my 4th Reo.

It is a great looking green. I was torn between my choice and yours.
But I ended up getting the last white/ black wrinkle. Showing out of stock now.
Congratulations! Enjoy your 4th!
I hope I don't catch whatever is going around here and need to buy multiple REO'S!

Once you open the package of your first one and touch it you will be infected lol. You may as well go ahead and pick out your next one.
