If someone posts;
"My 510 battery life sucks. What should I get as an upgrade?"
Cmon, kids. You all know the answer! Let me see some hands!

Oooh... oooh... I know the answer!

Rough Stack!

Oh wait... No...

Icon...

ummm... no...

CHUCK!

No... too long of a wait...

OK, a 20 dollar box mod and 2 14500 batteries and a charger for less than the price of a eGo... and MUCH cheaper replacement batteries...

We ARE trying to save the person money, RIGHT?

I like Zens pretend post. I think I'll make one like many I've seen.

Newbie: Hi guys, I'm looking for an e-cig. I've read and read but wow, information overload. What would you recommend?

Me: How much do you smoke? Full flavor, lights, menthol? Do you care about size? Are you near a computer or power outlet for most of the day? What is your price point? We need more information to give you an informed opinion.

Member1: Get an ego

Member2: I second that. Get an ego.

Member3: The ego sucks. Get a Kr8

Member1: Kr8 blows, just like your mom

Member3: The kr8 is the shizniz man. Your stupid ego sucks. All that dripping and dealing with carts is for the birds

Member4: I use cartos on my ego

Member3: Screw your cartos. The Kr8 had them first, so screw off

Member5: Guys, lets tone it down and help the OP. Take your little girl fight to PM

Newbie (OP): Umm, thanks guys for your help. I've decided on *insert some e-cig I've never heard of from some place I've never heard of* The reviews on their website say it's awesome!

Of course, about 10 days later you see this thread.
Newbie: Man, I bought *insert e-cig here* and it sucks. This vaping thing is a gimmick. You guys are suckers.

Me: If you would answer some questions, we can find you a better e-cig. How much do you smoke? Full flavor, lights, menthol? Do you care about size? Are you near a computer or power outlet for most of the day? What is your price point?

Newbie: Whats up with the 3rd degree man. I don't need someone telling me what to get. I already got the best e-cig out there and it sucks. Vaping just doesn't work for me. I just came back on here to tell you guys that you are all ... clowns that fell for a gimmick and are not as nicotine dependent as I am.

Member1: Get an ego. You'll change your mind.

Member2: The ego is okay I guess, but I recommend the SmokeStik

Member3: Your mom smokes my stick

Member2: My mom is dead you ...... You just outed yourself as being a necrophilic

Newbie (OP): Ha ha you guys are nuts. These e-cig things must be going to your brains

Me: I've never heard of the e-cig you bought, but I can assure you there is something that will work for you out there. What was the problem with the one you had?

OP: The battery life sucks. I can only use it for 10 freaking minutes, and when I took a drag I couldn't even feel it. I only know it's working from the vapor. It's the best one out there though, the reviews on the website say so.

Me: Well, if your problem is battery life and throat hit, you might be happy with something like an Ego and low resistance atomizers or cartomizers. I use some 2.0 resistance cartos made by Boge and love them. Easy to refill, good throat hit, and the battery on my ego last me half a day.

OP: How big is it? Does it look like a cigarette?

Me: No, it's' bigger than a cigarette. You do have some trade offs when it comes to e-cigs. Battery technology just isn't there to give us a cigarette sized device that lasts all day with enough juice to run a LR atty.

OP: I want something cigarette sized, that weighs the same as a cigarette and taste like a cigarette.

Member1: Get an Ego. You won't care about cigarette sized after a week

Member4: Ego ego ego, thats all I ever hear about. Get a GreenCig man. They are awesome

OP: Guys listen I already bought the best of the best, even though it cost me $200. It didn't work for me. You guys have fun with your forum, I'm out. Vaping sucks and I'm going back to smoking.

Member5: Get an ego

Well, I've gotten a good chuckle or two out of this thread.

But then again, I'm a stick guy. Only drive manual transmissions, always have. Tired of hatchbacks and stacking my stuff vertically when I have back seat passengers. Now, imagine what happens when I go shopping for a new car...

(Add in my GF is 5-8, shortest son is 6-2 and both have to look up to see my eyes, then the amount I drive, so I need a high mpg vehicle)

Finding the right PV is a breeze comparedly...

If only there was an eGo car...

Sitting here chain vappin my Ego and LMAO! What a great thread! It didn't accomplish jack .... but I learnt that there are some damn funny folks around here.

You do realize that we're not saying the eGo is wrong for YOU... we're saying it's not the item to suggest when somebody is asking for an analog look-alike...

I just traded most of my 510 stuff to people that were downsizing... I took 14500 batteries and CR123s in trade for the stuff... This person was sent on a wild goose chase for big bat stuff only to realize she preferred the 510 for her needs... it just happened today, so remember, what is right for YOUR use is quite possibly not optimum for somebody else.

And again, the thread isn't about bashing eGo types... it's about helping noobs to get to their own level.

This idea seems to be lost on the eGo owners, because win lose or draw, you guys seem to have blinders on regarding virtually all other PVs...

You guys really gotta try a big ol 18650 mod before you convince others that the eGo is the "end all" universally accepted "best vape".

I'll agree with that. I had a few smaller mods before I tried an 18650. It's the bees knees. I tried 6v with the same device and saw little need to move up in voltage. The ego has to be pretty good for all the attention it's gotten, but like you say, there are so many ways to go these days.

Great point. Personally, I think if I have to take a drug test to get a job, it should be a requirement to pass a drug test to get welfare. Peace to the gentle blue sky. :p
