I hate getting old. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I put on a clean atty and was putting a coupla drops of juice in it in it before squonking and enjoying. Yeah...well.. the bottle of juice didn't have a dropper tip on it so I poured VG all over the top of my Grand. Ah...what a mess! It looks like a fair amount of juice seeped in by the button and is now in the firing pin box. Do I need to open that up and clean it out? Any springs or other surprises waiting for me if I undo that screw?

Easily fixed....remove your battery, bottle & atty....turn on your faucet ....hot water....hold your mod under the running water to flush it out. You probably don't need to open the box, but if you want to...go for it. Just be careful as the screw is small and easy to strip if you don't have things lined up correctly. To remove the excess water, use compressed air to blow it out....or allow to dry over night.

Honestly, you shouldn't have to remove the black cover, and I don't chance it. You can clean almost anything by running hot water through and over a REO. If you are worried about gunk in the switch, just push it down and release several times while you are running water over the button.

As toddos said, don't forget to clean the firing pin and reapply a dab of noalox.
