Mods are double the price and vape at a higher voltage which means a slightly higher burn and a lot of vapor (and from what I've heard, this can cause lowered flavor). This isn't horribly convenient during the work days when you are trying to be discreet. You know, I only "hold" my mod's nowadays. The small 808 and 510 batts are in storage. I really wish I had saved all the trauma, drama and $$$$ and known to just go straight to a mod. Are there really many folks here that once they have a mod, 5 or 6 V really go back to the cute little cigarette looking 280mah batt?? I don't think so. I advise people now, if I know them and I'm sure they will stick with it, to go straight to the mod. Save time and money. The attys are a different story. I go back and forth with the 808 cartomizer, 510 atty and 901 atty. They all have a time and place.
I have an Ego, which means that I vape for 5-7 hours on one charge and have a back up at the ready plugged into my PC at work. The flavor is decent, and I can hide the vapor relatively well. I am also not choking or hacking while vaping due to massive vapor inhalation.
I started off with a standard bat from some third rate company, and while I'd never go back to that, stating that a mod is THE ONLY solution FOR EVERY situation is a far cry from the truth from what I understand.
Needless to say, I'd buy a mod if I had the $150 laying around, but it probably wouldn't replace my Ego 100%...
