You know, I only "hold" my mod's nowadays. The small 808 and 510 batts are in storage. I really wish I had saved all the trauma, drama and $$$$ and known to just go straight to a mod. Are there really many folks here that once they have a mod, 5 or 6 V really go back to the cute little cigarette looking 280mah batt?? I don't think so. I advise people now, if I know them and I'm sure they will stick with it, to go straight to the mod. Save time and money. The attys are a different story. I go back and forth with the 808 cartomizer, 510 atty and 901 atty. They all have a time and place.
Mods are double the price and vape at a higher voltage which means a slightly higher burn and a lot of vapor (and from what I've heard, this can cause lowered flavor). This isn't horribly convenient during the work days when you are trying to be discreet.

I have an Ego, which means that I vape for 5-7 hours on one charge and have a back up at the ready plugged into my PC at work. The flavor is decent, and I can hide the vapor relatively well. I am also not choking or hacking while vaping due to massive vapor inhalation.

I started off with a standard bat from some third rate company, and while I'd never go back to that, stating that a mod is THE ONLY solution FOR EVERY situation is a far cry from the truth from what I understand.

Needless to say, I'd buy a mod if I had the $150 laying around, but it probably wouldn't replace my Ego 100%...

There are little mods made from lazer pointers too that take AAA size batteries and some of those look pretty cool. Isaak over at Ikenvape sell some. Check 'em out here if ya want. Lazers
I see that they're currently out of stock but they get new ones in periodically.

Wow... now that's pretty awesome... And cheap to boot!

Thought you might like those. What's cool about those is they look a lot like an eGo but when the battery dies you just have to buy a new 10440 batt for like $5.00 and they're 350 mAh compared to the eGos 250 mAh.

I thought the eGo was 650 mAh? But those are still really cool... I wonder if unlike the eGo, they don't step down the voltage to 3.1 from 3.7 (in other words, if they are true HV PVs).

The Ego battery IS 650mAh, and will last much, much longer than a 10440 will. Most users get about 1-2 hours max out of a single 10440 battery, whereas the Ego batteries last at least 6-8 hours.

Oh yeah a 5V passthrough is def. the cheapest way to HV vape that I know of.

I was thinking so... I've been eyeing the 5v PT from MadVapes for some time now... I wanted to order all the different 510 converters anyhow (801/901/etc), so figured I'd pick one of those up at the same time.

My Stick uses 10440s, and gives me anywhere from 3 hours of constant vaping on an old and often-often-recharged battery to 12 hours of occasional vaping on a new and fully-charged battery.

I think the 10440s don't like being left on the charger once full; the ones I have that run down mid-day are the first ones I got and were left on the charger constantly until needed. The next batch was treated a little more carefully and will last me a good solid 6-10 hours of steady vaping, about 3 puffs every 5-10 minutes.

The only time I've run down a 10440 in under 3 hours was when a massive order of new juices came in and I vaped on an old battery for 2 hours straight. I mean constant, vape one flavor while loading the next, nonstop chain-vaping. *headache*
