Im reletively new to vaping and i currently use a disposable clearomizer and an eGo style battery with the bLk brand e-juice. Im thinking of getting this set up:

iTaste MVP 2.0
Protank 3

And as for eJuice i think ill be buying wholesale Spokane Super Sauce from a distributor..

Any thoughts?

Battery life is my biggest concern i vape probably 4-6 ml of 24mg strength e-juice in a typical 16 hour day.

I highly recommend the MVP2. It's my all day VV/VW mod. It has a built-in 2600mah battery that should easily last you 1-2 days between charges. I just throw mine on the charger at night and I've never run out during the day. I bought mine from 101vape for $39.99 but I see they are currently out of stock. Mine came with the USB cord and an I-Taste 30 in the box.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit Mine with a Protank II (2.5ml) and a Kayfun Lite Plus Clone (4.5ml) on it

like wings said they have great deals under $50 in a kit which will include the iclear 30 or itaste 30. they will be similar performance to a protank so you can try it out and decide if you want the protank before ordering. It is a greatly reviewed mod but I stopped using vv/vw before it was released

Thank you for all the encouraging words guys, it definitely reinforces my idea to buy one. One Question however,
What is this vv/vw you speak of? lol

The MVP is vv/vw -- variable voltage / variable wattage. It also has an ohm meter built in (very important) and a puff counter as well. Variable voltage is used to crank up the heat to get a better vape and can also be adjusted down for low ohm coils or thin juices.

xthng1: Good luck on our purchase! Return to this thread once you have picked it up to let me know your set up and how you like it.

Steve: Thank you for the awesome review! What juice are you using? And the ITaste 30 is a clearomizer that comes with it right? How are the throat hits?

No Problem Vappers, Always happy to help. The I Taste 30 is a DC Clearamizer that was included in the box. It hits pretty darn good, you will go through your juice at a pretty good pace because of the dual coil but will get a lot of flavor and vapor. Nothing is for free, more vapor, more flavor, more juice  I'm actually using a Tribeca Clone quite a bit atm that I make myself.

Cheers,
Steve

Here's a pic of the LED screen that lets you switch voltage between 3.3-5.0V or go into wattage mode 6.0-11 watts. It also has an ohm meter built in to let you know the resistance of your coils and last but not least a puff counter as vaperature pointed out.

You're gonna need a bigger tank. The Protank only has a 2.5 ml capacity if memory serves me right. Either that or carry a bottle of juice with you.

The iClear 30 has a 3 ml capacity. iClear 16 about 1.5 - 2.0 ml.

I get nearly 3 days on one charge with the MVP. It also has a passthru ability. You can vape it while it charges.

Consider getting a cartotank for your MVP. Juice capacity of 3 - 6 ml. I recommend IBTanked pyrex cartotanks (see pic above).

Yes on the MVP2, I use mine every day. It comes with an iClear 30, and people seem to like it, so give that a go before buying another tank.

As for the ProTank3... it is by far the worst purchase I ever made. It flat out sucks. They rushed into dual coils without any actual testing from what I can tell. The design is simply flawed with the stacked coils the way they are.

If you are wanting a bottom coil style setup, the Anyvape Davide BCC is far superior. I haven't used their dual coil version, as the single coil works wonderfully! I do rebuild my heads with 30ga, at around 1.8-2 ohms, which you may learn to do down the road..

I recommend just trying the iClear 30 that comes with your MVP, and go from there.

Edit: I just realized that I am currently using my MVP/Davide set up as I typed this... In vaping heaven.

Steve: Thanks again, did you say you make your own liquids also? How long have you been vaping for? Is it hard to make your own liquids and does it generally cost you less to make your own vs buying from the retailers?

Baditude: I will look into those, How much is it to buy the ones you have? How much juice do you burn through in a day? and when you were a smoker how many packs/cigs a day did you smoke?

I've been vaping for only about 6 months but did a lot of research into DIY. I do make my own E-Juice. I can make a 30ml for under $2.00. But there is a start-up cost of PG, VG, Nic, Flavors, Syringes (for measuring), bottles if you haven't saved your used ones. I'm sure I'm missing a few things, but you get the idea. The main thing for me was doing some (a lot) reading/research in the DIY forum. There is a wealth of information and quite a few helpful people there. Here's a thread with a few pretty good recipe's (IMO) and a few I'm still working on if your interested in checking it out: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/516230-marathon-mix-session.html
Hope some of this is useful :toast:

Cheers,
Steve

Big yes from me on the MVP! I love mine, I use it almost all the time and my poor ego batteries just hang out in the toolbox waiting to be picked up again lol. I like the MVP so much I ordered a backup and I sometimes switch out between the two, it's also nice for when I'm charging the other. My favorite tank to use with it is the mini protank 2, so I have to take a bottle of juice with me on the go, but I don't mind. :) I usually get around 4-5 days off a charge, and I really can't say anything bad about the device. I believe you would be pleased with it.

I just started using my itaste mvp v2 yesterday. It takes a day to get used to but well worth the price. Got mine on ebay for fifty dollars. Also have a rebuildable tank coming named the terminator c so I no longer need to buy tanks. The throat hit is great but get a ton of sample packs and experiment with it. Thinner liquid works very well in the iclear 30,thick liquid may be more of a strong throat hit in it. Just quit smoking yesterday and my mvp is my new best friend.

the MVP is a 2600mah battery - that equates to about 900-1000 puffs( i knew that puff counter would come in handy some how!!! some way!!!!) or about 2-3 1/2 days. It lasts a very long time. It's a great place to start getting into APV's and whatnot and I highly recommend it to everyone who is thinking about buying it. Small size, great battery life, 510 threading, a nice digital display whats not to love!?
