Thank you for your help but there's something you didnt't understood. When i insert the batteries the mod does not turn on, no matter what i do it doesn't turn on or show any information on the screen.
I understood but was hopeful reset would fix that for you.

As @Punk In Drublic suggested email GV customer service. When I did they were very quick to respond and help. They even followed up a couple days later to make sure the firmware worked.

I have used Macs for years, gave up M$ in 2009. Current Mac is from 2011. Mac cost more upfront but considering you don't have to keep rebuying them cost of ownership is by far less than a PC.
This Windows machine was manufactured back in 2007 and it is still working fine. I did upgraded it from XP to 7 and then 8.1 though. Don't know what you bought, but this one is a Gateway M485.

And what kind of solution can they give me? A different file to update?

Glad it works for you. Not interest in getting into a PC vs Mac discussion not sure why you even brought it up. Just as silly as who is right MTL or DL. I have no need to pick on others choices to make me feel good about mine.

No I don't care about Windows vs Mac. I was just shocked that you need a Mac to do the upgrade on the Legend. That will cost me a small fortune. :(

When you contact customer support keep in mind some info may be confusing based on translation. Ask as many questions as you need to understand the process.

In the meantime you may want to visit the support page. Near the bottom you will find their FAQ section which is searchable. They don't highlight that they have a FAQ just scroll down and you'll find it.

Good luck

@BillW50 - I see 1 update for the original Aegis – far from endless. I can accept you do not like how the product works, but that is your personal preference and no reflection on the product itself. I absolutely love my Legend, and judging by the amount of praise it has received I am not alone. This thread is about assisting those who require assistance.

@6FootFive - Firmware updates fail, it is an unfortunate reality regardless of the product. Pick any smartphone model and Google failed firmware, you will find many reports. The Legend is an extremely popular device. In my neck of the woods stores cannot keep them on the shelves. The more popular a device becomes, the more likely you will hear/see problems with them. It’s a numbers game. What we do not know (cause we are not privy to this information) is their actual failure rate. A 10% failure rate is the same regardless if 1000 products were sold vs 1000000 – however, with the latter due to the sheer volume of products sold we will hear more about failures.

Don't need the Mac to update the Legend.

I'm funny about my work PC, I try to avoid any use of it for personal tasks. I don't ever want to be in a position where personal activities on my work PC causes issues for the company or our network. I don't check my email, surf the web, shop, visit the forums, etc... I do all that with my Mac. I own a Mac because I like photography in my spare time. I have a personal phone and company phone as well for similar reasons. Additionally no one at work needs to know what I do on the web, who I email after hours or who I might text or call.

Additionally, those with a failed device or bad experience are far more likely to write a negative review or to complain in a forum. Satisfied customers typically do not provide positive comments at the same level. Happy people just go on being happy.

They show 1 now, but originally there was 5 public releases. They like to hide their earlier mistakes. But I still have them all. What do they show as 1, that v1.24 one?

The mod is wonderful. If the board and the firmware performed like the GBOX one it too would be wonderful. So what the heck happened?

That's not true. I hear far more praises about the Legend in this thread alone than negatives.

Yes, i can understand that and i absolutly love this mod, i would buy another one later on but i'd be afraid to up grade it though.
I just hope this one comes to life if GV supports me or the seller sends another or refunds me whatever.

I don't follow? Why did you mention it then?

I'm funny about my work PC, I try to avoid any use of it for personal tasks. I have many PCs and use them for different tasks.

I can’t answer that. Never used the GBOX so I have no reference. 5 public release’s, if there is fact to that, tells me that Geekvape actually cares and are doing their best to rectify what ever problem has occurred. We can’t say the same for many other companies that don’t even bother with updates.
