The Legend doesn't have glass because it's a mod. If your mod and tank came together in a kit, the tank might be a Cerberus. While you're buying replacement glass remember to pick up a few protective tank rings.

Yeah so my mod is the legend and my tank is alpha. I do have a band around my glass. I need a resin glass or whatever material it is. That’s the only thing I’ve found that works or else I have broken glass every other day. I’m rough on things.

That or a different atty that is more resistant to damage.

Perhaps take a look at some of the freemax stuff. One thing to keep in mind is that when a devise falls it almost always falls on a flat surface. Because of this corners that stick out help protect the glass. Bubble glass is actually stronger than flat glass, but breaks a lot more because it sticks out.

I haven’t a base clue why the only attys that have metal protectors over their glass are MTL, but for whatever reason it seems to be the case. An alpha is not by any stretch a MTL tank though so that Avenue is closed to you.

I never heard of "resin" glass. Do you mean pyrex? Pretty sure most of the tanks today use pyrex glass.

Maybe Geekvape should create a tank that is as durable as their mods. Hint to Geekvape representative. ;)

A tank like the Innokin Glide has the glass surrounded by metal. Could still crack, but would be more resistant to a fall than a bubble glassed tank. It's a MTL tank, so it will have a more restrictive, tighter draw than the tank you were using.

Aspire makes protective cages for their Nautilus tanks. Might be an option for you. Like the Zlide, its a MTL tank with a more restrictive draw.

hear hear! I have no idea why no one does this for DL tanks. It’s silly.

her current tank is DL though. Makes moving to a MTL system somewhat problematic in that she might hate it

A PEEK tank?

@VStopak – see below link. They offer Quartz glass which is said to be more durable than your typical glass. I can’t speak for that, guess the only way to find out is to purchase a replacement glass and drop it!

ALPHA - ADV Expansion Kit

To note: Some aftermarkets do offer what they claim is a resin tank replacement. I’ve seen these for Smok tanks – never one for a GV Alpha

they apparently exist though I’ve never seen one. Apparently the advantage is it’s resistant to “tank cracker” juices that make other plastics problematic for usage as tank cylinders

So when I say resin I mean like plastic. So instead of glass it is some sorta type of plastic and it’s like near impossible to break. I’ve had one before on my prince but can’t seem to find one like that for this alpha.

Plastic tanks have problems. Specifically with certain flavorings know colloquially as “tank crackers”. They will discolor and crack if exposed to these flavorings. Cinnamon and nutmeg are both tank crackers though there are quite a few more.

I heard somewhere that there are some types of plastics out now that resist these flavorings. It used to be basically all tanks were plastic, but over a few years that changed to nearly none.

It just hit me. You are asking about the resin commonly known as Ultem. I have a drip tip made out of that stuff. But I don't think it would make a good tank material. I took some up-close photos of my drip tip and it's full of microfissures after only a few months of use. I'm getting flashbacks of eGos, plastic tanks, and long wick coil heads now. Do the smart thing!

I had heard PEET might resist them as well. I’ve never seen transparent PEET though so it would be no better then stainless which is a much preferred material.
