Bad coils or inconsistent battery? Still brand new coils here, time will tell. But so far 2 tanks and still strong.

I think bad coils. I'm running it on a Provari. I just rebuilt a head with a single coil and its going pretty good for now. I'm just not impressed with the kanger coils.

Picked one up at a B&M yesterday. I have to agree, it's a pretty good vape and it's really nice being able to adjust the airflow so easily. However, the real question in my mind is how long it will stay a nice vape; i.e. how often it will need a new coil, and whether Kanger can make consistently decent heads for them.

Hmm.. haven't really heard much about these but now I'm tempted to pick one up. How big is the tank capacity? Doesn't say on the page I'm looking at. Are these fairly new in the Kanger line of products? Can you use any type of protank coils on it? Sorry, I only recently bought and tried out my first Kanger Protank (Mini v2) so I don't have much experience with them. I like the Protank Mini 2 but I don't get much TH on it... feels kinda airy/wispy. Might try rebuilding it someday but I'm pretty bad at making coils. Rather just get something that works well out of the box. The Aero and Protank 3 both use these dual coils? I normally like the "mini" versions since I use mainly Ego style batteries and want something that looks flush.

Kanger claims 2.5ml.

Yeah, pretty much brand-new.

No, only their latest heads, which are also backward-compatible to the Protank 3. However, these are not the original Protank 3 heads.

The Aero and Protank 3 both use these dual coils?
Yup.

Ahh... I might pull the trigger on one of these. The idea of an air controller appeals to me, as does a dual coil tank. Ebay has some for a fair price IF they work as well as they should. Think they will release a Mini version? I don't really like it when the tank is wider than my Ego style battery. I guess I can live with it but.. just a preference.

I found it is slightly adjustable. The positive pin will move some. First install the base to the device then install the head. If you put the head on first it pushes the pin down causing the tank not to sit flush.

I have all sorts of high end rba. I have been using the aerotank allot the last two weeks and it had performed wonderfully. Haven't had the first drop off juice leak. No burnt hits. No flooding. In fact when I vaped the tank low instead of flooding the vapor dropped off to near nothing. I filled it up and went back to vaping. Really love this device. I am impressed by the one head that I am still using. Vaped about 10ml so far on this head.

This is by far my recommendation for new vapers. Hassle free and very good performance.

About the only decision that has to be made is do we want to pay approximately $6.00 for the conversion Aero Base
or $25.00 for the Aero Tank... of which both do the same exact thing... give air to the little hole down at the very
bottom of the tiny CONTACT PIN... inside the walled casing of the head's base... that's all that's really changed.

The head itself is still the same... the coils themselves (the dual ones) are STILL stacked on top of each other...
meaning the TOP COIL still does not get any of the air like it should as it is blocked completely off just like in the past.

There is NO VORTEX ... as the little CONTACT PIN with its little hole... sets flat against the metal bottom base
and the air goes straight up the shaft hitting the first coil... nothing is spinning... the coils are built just like before... longer stem or not.
Again... it's a choice of paying approximately $6.00 for the Aero Conversion Base... or $25.00 for the Aero Tank...
One way or another we're paying for the same exact AIR...

How different are the dual coil replacements for Aerotank VS Protank 3? As in... if I wanted to buy a pack of coils, which should I get? Has anyone tried a side by side comparison with this and the Nautilus? I watched the Pbusardo video review on BCC comparison and it seems like him and his friends preferred the Nautilus, but not by a whole lot. But I probably won't get the Nautilus unless they come out with a mini version... the 5ml tank is just way too massive for me. I also notice there are suppose to be 2 versions?? One with a ribbed drip tip and a smooth one.. is there any difference or is it just the included drip tip?

My understanding is that Aerotank heads are backwards-compatible with the Protank 3, and that they're the only style that's being made anymore. The newer ones have a substantially taller chimney (more like the older Portank/Evod heads) rather than the very short chimney of the original Protank 3 heads. However, don't hold me to this; I don't own a Protank 3, only some mini 2's (which work well for me with some, but not all juices), some full-sized 2's (which I haven't had very good luck with) and now an Aerotank (which I'm liking so far).

Other than the airflow controler, something else I really like about the Aerotank and its base is that the 510 connection is sealed so there is NO leaking at all!

AHA!!!! Now THAT is interesting!! Had not seen any mention of THAT before; wonder if there is a picture somewhere? So the atomizer head does not go through the base to touch the 510 positive pole then?
