    OK.

I thought I fixed the leak by using single coils in my Aerotank Mega 3.8ml.

    Now it leaks again

Sick of it, so I went back to my Protank 3 for now.

Going to get an Aspire nautilus I believe.

Check that thread for my review in the future !

I have a wee bit of news for ya. The Aspire Nauty's can do the same thing. Hell, even the Kayfuns will spit a little juice out'a the air hole from time to time. Just the nature of the beasts.

The quick fix is a light yet forceful blow into a paper towel until the excess juice is gone.

As far as single coils in a Mega, Yes they will work but if you compare side by side you will notice that the barrels are shorter on the singles. I have not had much of a problem with the singles but, I have heard this can be remedied by flipping the insulator cup upside down on the chimney.

Now if you want to really kick the issue in the seat of the pants, Learn to re-coil the standard "dual coils" into single coils with organic cotton wick at about 1.5/1.8 ohms. This should blow your socks off...........

    Weird.

My aerotank mini has no leakage at all. I usually break it down and rinse between juice refills. But if I am refilling with same juice, or in a hurry there *may* be a slight amount that gets into that center tube and into the mouth piece.

I used to have major issues with the older coils + evods. If that rubber cap wasn't seated 100% proper on the coil I would get leaks from time to time. But that was user error.

You may have just gotten a bad aerotank. But I would break it down, clean it 100%, dry it, and make sure its all tight. The new coils are much better in my opinion and should form a perfect seal on that tube. Check for any burrs too.

But can definitely report after 20+ tanks on the same coil so far, no leaking on my mini.

    Right on S2!
One can not emphasize enough on the issue of proper maintenance. I am the same way, doing a break down and service of my atty's after every other load or when changing flavors. Hell I often re-wick my drippers when changing flavors just to keep things pure. This approach will absolutely save a whole lot of headaches in the long run.

As my signature states, A clean topper is a happy topper!.............

I loved this tank the first week, but mine leaks into the bottom chamber pretty badly. I took it apart and cleaned it a few times and it still leaks. Tried the replacement coil that came with it, but that leaks into the bottom chamber as well. Can you take apart the bottom chamber where the airflow strip/hole is? At first, the airflow adjustment ring had good resistance and wouldn't spin too much passed fully open (to the right) or fully closed (to the left). Now I can spin it around completely with very little resistance. I can't tell if the leak is from the center tube of the coil or between the threading of the bottom chamber and coil. It worked perfectly for the first week. Definitely the best flavor and vapor production of any tank out there. Hopefully it's just the coils that mine came with.

Thanks for all the posts guys.

I was posting about this again, forgetting I already had.
When I scrolled up, I realized I had posted it already, and, under the Edit function, I see no way to delete the message, so.....

I'll take this time to say how much I appreciate this Forum, and, keep it up , ECF.

    Hey guys.

I recently moved on to the Aspire Nautilus, after being frustrated with the Aerotank Mega , and the Protank 3, both from Kanger.
I got the Aspire Nautilus, which is a GREAT product, high class , and professional. Cheaper too !
Right away you notice the more rugged construction and ease of use.
Anyway, I highly recommend them. Stored my Aerotank Mega under 'retired tanks' along with my Protank 3.

I am in no way affiliated or involved in any way with the Aspire company or its subsidiaries.

Good luck to all you vapers out there, stay off the combustion !

The center post is the problem.I wrapped a tiny amount of Teflon tape on the threads and screwed it back together. Problem solved

If the teflon tape worked, then the leaking would be from the threading and not through the center post. I have plenty of teflon tape laying around, so I'll give it a try. Thanks

Hello everyone I have a quick query ...

I have the Meg and the Nautilus

I still 'suffer' from problems. But don't want that to get in the way of my goal of being an unblemished vaper

Advice is - try to keep it never less than 1/3 - where is that???

I can't see half the tank unless I take it out

Can I vape below the holes??

    Thanks

You can turn the Mega upside down to see how much juice you have in it. But ya, you really can't see half of your tank when it's right side up. The Nautilus does not have that issue.

How funny. I would. Send my mega back then. They are so new you must still have it under warranty. I have both and I haven't retired either. They are both great. My old aero and pro threes also. Seems like a maintenance issue to me. Or the nautilus sales are dropping and the above quote is a farce and this entire thread is to discredit kanger. Ah the smell of desperation.

    Thanks a lot man

So roughly would you agree with keeping it over 1/3 full??

But if I want to change flavor, would you say - 'carefully' vape that till its down to very last bit then clean completely; new head etc. and fill new flavor.....???

Yea that is generally the rule.

I usually don't vape it down to the very las bit before a flavor change. I don't mind losing a (very) little bit of juice so I can move on to the next flavor. But that's just me. The reason you want to keep it at least 1/3 full is because it keeps the vacuum in the tank and helps prevent leaks. MY issue with the Aerotank Mega was that it leaked (and badly) no matter how full, or empty, it was. Shame too cause I really did like that tank. :(

Oh so you didn't get over the leaking issue??! - Do the same as my Nautilus, hold it o hole faces the ground and blow, and sometimes open and clean

That really ruined my experience with the Aerotank...but that one day I had with it and my VTR and Virgin Vapor Shellshock gave me faith to continue my struggle against smoking - I'm close now!

I took a BIG gamble just now - its not easy but I just ordered a Provari and Kayfun Lite Plus V2 - hope I made a good choice!
