i am back on the clock now and wanted to update everyone. I have found a new machinist and have sent him the 3-d printing to have in his hands. He was able to get the files i sent him and everything is good. Vaperfexion is going to be doing the machining and after the first run will be retailed directly from vaperfexion.com tom has assured me that once everything is in place that a prototype such can be machined within a week.. So it's just a matter of them nailing down the particulars and then we are going!

So there ya go.. There's the update.

Oh and blake28, if you want to run it in 18500 mode, i will be selling a specific adapter which is nothing more than a plug to fill the gap to make your 18500s work. It will be shielded with shrink wrap so that it won't short into the tube. These will be additional and will not come with the basic starter set, however it won't be expensive (true to all the stuff i do, it's affordable!!!)

wow! Awesome update man thanks!

I will be having beta testers. I've having a total of 5 prototypes made up and will send them out for review to a few people. I do know that it's going to be a spread of users. I'm going to send one to Pbusardo, and one to grimgreen, then from there I'm going to select one more experienced user and the remaining 2 will be new users to genesis devices to determine how easily they can use the device. I want it to be pretty easy for newbies to use as well as experienced users, so it's going to be a spread. As far as who gets selected, I'll have a contest to choose. Something like an essay to explain why you feel you would be a good impartial beta tester of no more than 500 words. "Because I'm awesome" isn't going to be good enough! :) hahaha.

"Because I asked first." That's less than 500 words

Good to see this is a go Ken. And for those of us that have been patently waiting, you are going to send us some free mods for beta testing aren't you? :D

I personally think that one of the beta testers should be the first person that made a post in this thread. Oh wait that was me. Darn. Okay send one over I guess......:D

i really think it will be. and the fact this thing is going to be aluminum coupled with ken's skills and experience anodizing different devices, I think this thing's going to hit like a freight train. But we also have great features like u-wick capability and multiple tubes for a reasonable price. I think if this thing could be a homerun for him, and I truly hope that it is....still want to pay extra for a venom edition though :D

I don't think an adjustable draw would be hard to do. Like a QZI would bring the price up but maybe a threaded draw hole with different sized holes drilled into set screws to make it adjustable to the users preference.

i like how you think!

just hope it's not like the foggy. i had a foggatti that i sold cuz i hated the way the airflow control worked. great idea, but if you look at pictures of it hear me out. you've got the air hole at the top of the atty deck UNDER where your coil is. so yeah you can adjust it by spinning the cap, but the air flow isn't going directly over the coils but has to go up. It was a weird vape not having that airflow over the coils like every other genesis I've used. I didn't like it. Also the 2mm wick holes were tiny. you were forced into a u-wick with that thing which just wasn't my style. Now I know this is probably going to push it above the budget which I don't want, but the new Orion v3's air control is how you do it. right over the coils. check it out if you haven't seen pics it's pretty neat.
