I've been playing with my AGA-T since I got it last Wednesday and have had a pretty bad experience so far.

It's probably the wire and wick but I could use some help!

It's wicking too fast first off, I'm using 325 SS mesh and even with all the screws in the top, it still seems to leak into the top compartment. This is an issue because of it's weight, I want to lay it down (so my Zmax doesn't topple over) but it wicks and fills up the coil compartment. The wick is rolled up nice and fits snuggly in the wick hole.

I can't seem to get the taste right, seems to burn my liquid or doesn't create enough vapor at all. Like I said, I'm using 325 SS Mesh and 3 coils of 36AWG NC wire giving me approx 3 ohms. Yes, I checked for shorts and hotspots, all the coils are glowing evenly.

I ran about 3ml through the coil and wick and it seems to be delivering an off-taste (compared to my Vivi Nova)

I've watched all the videos on YT, but maybe I'm doing something wrong? I really like it' it's a nicely machined piece of hardware, but I'm thinking of selling it and switching back to my Nova exclusively.

Please help or make an offer! :2c:

well first off, it's a genesis, so they are going to leak if you lay it on it's side....it's just a fact of life.

secondly, what juice ratio are you using? the mesh may have something to do with that as you are using 325.

that off taste you are tasting is probably you not liking the SS mesh as much as you thought you would, perhaps you just don't like the genesis style atomizers.

regardless, send me a PM if you have any more issues or would like to let it go, i'll gladly make you an offer on it.

As elmattias said all genesis atomizers will leak if left laying on their side. This is due to the capillary action of the wick. I was frustrated initially with genesis style atomizers as the learning curve is a bit steep. Taste wise ,IDK. You could try dialing the voltage or wattage down a tad and see if the taste improves to you .

For me, I didn't care for the taste at first either until my wick and coil was well seasoned. May take a bit more juice run through the wick to get there. These aren't for everyone and certainly not if you are impatient (not implying that you are). You may prefer thinner ,straw like wicks or you may prefer a more densely rolled wick. There is no "one true way" to do this, only discovering your preference by trying different methods.

Once this break in period was over , I got why the genesis style is so popular. The taste is now very clean to me. Good luck ,which ever way you choose to go. Maybe consider elmattias' offer of help through pm . He has more experience than I.
