So... Followed the 'tip' from a senior...
Twisted kanthal wire, 1.3ohms, 4V.

There's a video on tube. Just search twisted 'kanthal wire'.
But you'll need a drill or batt operated screwdriver though... If not I imagine the process to be a real pain in the rear...
By twisting the wire, you lower the resistance.... To a certain extent, I think it also helps in keeping the mesh moist by retaining the juice in between the twists.
In any case, whoever thought of this is a genius!

i just loop it around my negative screw, hold it by both loose ends, and give it a good spin. it's surprisingly effective, especially if there's a large mech mod you can attach to your rba.

Twisted kanthal is good but don't u find it abit hard to coil? It kinda looses most of its springyness and becomes very tense instead. But, yeah its a great compromise for those of us who can't get their hands on thicker wire
I coiled it on my 'Dummy' wick. (The one which failed, but fits the wick hole)
THEN I fit it over the actual wick. As they say, whatever floats your boat!:vapor:
