I've got my AGA-T2 down to a tee. It works beautifully, and I can do a wick and coil in minutes with zero issues. I hardly have hotspot issues, and if I do, they are pulsed/nudged away in seconds. I drilled my airhole to 3/32", and I usually end up with a 1.2-1.4 ohm coil, and set my provari to 4.2-4.5 volts. Which is slightly under it's 15 watt limit.

My issue is this. When I pull the wick and coil and torch it clean, it's left with this red residue on it that, yes, can be scratched off, but it still leaves the coil itself with a red hue. Also, after about 30 minutes of vaping, the taste goes very wrong. It's hard to describe, but it's like mixing a complex dessert juice with a complex and poorly matched fruit juice. Am I just frying the damn juice? Could it be that oxidizing stainless steel makes it less than stainless? Halp!

I never had this problem so i cant really comment but is this happening on just that 1 coil/wick?

Are you heating up your coil with a torch? You dont need to oxidize the coil, Heating the wire/coil up with a torch is just to simply take out the springyness it has, Not to oxidize it. I hardly ever torch my wire unless i am building something to wear the wire is being a PITA.

I would say if its just the 1 wick/coil, Then just make a new one? Not sure how long you have been using that current wick/coil

It happened on my previous wick and coil. I don't torch the wire at all, though I dry fire it to burn off anything on it before I juice it up. I usually torch both the wick and coil when it starts to gunk up. I've also tried torching the wick clean and using a new coil, same problem. While I'm at work today I'll roll myself a new wick, we should be getting mesh back in stock. The joys of working in a vapor store!

EDIT: Current wick is about a week old, but I stopped using it 3 days ago and have been using my IGO-L in the meantime. My store is going to be carrying the Russian, which I'll be picking up, but I like having multiple tanks to swap flavors.

I have had this happen only when i reuse a wick over and over for a couple of weeks.. The only thing I can suggest would be to wash it under cold running water then torch it on a stove top to see if you get a diffrent result. Another thing that might cause this problem is the length of time you have reused the wick and the ejuice you used with it. Some thicker juices cake up more then others. After a few uses the wick cakes up becomes gooey like, when you roll it with your fingers you can feel the stickiness like its clogged up, then its its time for a new one....

do you own a mechanical mod? if so the best method and safest way to use ss mesh is to pulse oxidize it. no burning or torching of the wick is necessary. you just simply roll up a piece of mesh, wrap the coil, and pulse the mod until it oxidizes the wick for you. this really cannot be done with a vv device for it will error out. this way you know for sure that the ss mesh isn't getting over oxidized which can create possible side affects. with this method a simple dry fire of the coil every day should keep the coil clean. i really don't know what this red stuff is because it never happened to me, but over oxidation of ss isn't good.
