    Hi Folks, effective August 1, 2013, NC law now requires us to perform online age verification for all of our customers. We are currently using a service that attempts to identify you through public records. It's about 85% accurate on identifying that a person is of legal age.

    Upon creating an account with us, accurate information such as full legal name, Date Of Birth and correct address information will greatly improve the odds of a match.

    If you are having trouble getting through to us to be verified, don't worry, it's our top priority to get you verified and get your order shipped. We apologize for any inconvenience with the verification process.

    Very frustrating when it can't figure out that I have been of legal smoking age for 45 years, even having all of the correct information.

    HI there.

    I'm having issues regarding this. Tried to place my order 4 times already (2 yesterday, 2 today)...to no avail.
    However, I can see in my credit card operations, that 1.00€ has been charged 4 times, 1 for every attempt.

    Always the same error message: "There was an error processing your order. Please contact us or try again later.
    Gateway error: Your transaction has been declined. Please make sure your billing information matches the billing information of your credit card or contact your bank for more information."

    I've contacted Amanda through Madvapes' ticket system but she has not been able to help me unless I give her a call...from where I live...Spain. :S
    Can't understand why I need to call in order to show I have a legal age...especially when I already placed an order last year.

    I wanted to place my $150 order, and get the benefit of the 10% off promo...but at this rate and because of this persistent issue, it all will be gone by when it eventually gets solved (if it does) Too bad :(

    PS: You state that the system Is about 85% accurate on identifying that a person is of legal age... Why am I in the 15% spectrum if I already placed an order last year?

    We don't do age verification for international orders and it's more than likely your cc provider is declining it..

    I had bought and have bought in many places since this issue in your website, and NOWHERE ELSE I've had this problem but in your website. What's more, in October I had previously bought at MadVapes with that same cc and had no issues whatsoever.
    "Something" changed since your new website launched, and it's keeping me from placing an order. Too bad, as I said, it was a $150 worth order which I needed to buy (and still need btw).

    Madvapes has a hard to find item I want. Since MA now requires age verification, I created an account in advance. How will I know I have been verified, or will I not find out until I place my order?

    Might have something to do with US date format (M/D/Y), and most everybody else's (D/M/Y or Y first)..

    Mass has a specific requirement for internet age verification. They require that the age verification has to be a separate form, not part of the checkout process like most other states. We'll be pushing a change live on Monday to accommodate this. If you don't verify through this form (create new account), you can give us a call at(704) 624-8551 and we can manually verify your account.
