I know that not long ago I posted about a problem I was having with my new shorty batteries. Had I not posted here first asking for help, then V4L would have sent me out new batteries that really weren't needed. It would have been a waste of resources when a very simple fix was available. I think everyone should feel comfortable coming here to ask questions about any V4L product. If you can get an answer from another friend/family member of V4L then that leaves Mark, Steve, Val and the rest free to deal with the serious issues. If I ever have another problem that I think can be solved without returning merchandise I will come here first.

To make sure I'm clear, I am in no way asking people to not ask questions in the forum. What I'm asking is to not take the forum too seriously. The forum is where people who work for the company come to talk shop and/or monitor customer issues. It is in no way meant to be a storefront where everything that is posted is "on the clock" per se.

Again, Steve, correct me if I misspoke.

My take on your original post was that you were berating forum members for complaints or concerns about products and/or customer service because we should view V4L as family - as opposed to a business.

Thanks for the clarification. I agree 100% with your post above. Sorry - I did not realize that you were addressing something that happened on the forum today. Whatever it was, I didn't see it.

I really doubt if I went into walmart and asked people how to fix my toaster, that I would get a lot of help. Customer service may and may not help and nobody would tell a joke or tease me just to make me laugh.
For sure the CEO would not tell me he would work to fix the problem or improve the product and make me smile.

This Supplier forum serves the purpose of helping with problems, keeping me on track with vaping and making my day. I don't expect anyone here with the exception of staff to make policy decisions. Just friendly suggestions.

ECF on the whole is for the REST of our vaping needs and information as well as for socializing.

Yeah I get it Sym..you are right, we are a family and I don't mind being a fangirl..I am proud of it! V4L earned it!

I now understand your objection... I would have been way out of line, and a real jerk to boot...

Even I'm not that big of a jerk.

In my opinion, your position is not in accordance with the use the owner's, and their employees, chose to use their forum for. For your position to in fact be a true statement, then the following sticky threads do not belong on this forum as they are in fact official Company business and policy.

Official Warranty Policy, posted by Steve
Official coupon codes, posted by Mark
Official Stock Update, posted by Val, updated by Mark

Those threads in affect, make this forum a pseudo storefront, not to mention the numerous responses and resolutions by Mark and Steve concerning problems customers have had in the past. For this forum to be just a "fun place", where no negativity is mentioned, then the above should not be done. And, the information contained in those 3 threads should be contained on the V4L website, and/or V4L email notifications, not here.

Of course, that is my opinion.......let the attacks begin. :)

Thanks Jeff..I feel the same about you!:)

SR, I am sorry..you kind of got pushed to one side. You have an opinion and we respect that. No flaming and no insults needed in here.
hang around for a while and you will see why we don't see it as a storefront, no sales are made in here, but info and advice as well as updates for the real store are given.
I kind of look at this place like a country store. yeah commerce is going on over yonder, but I am just here to grab a nehi and play checkers with the gang.

I personally have no problem with the lines between business and fun being blurred. I like it better that way actually. It's definitely been a different experience for me but a lovely one.
I like feeling close to people who live nowhere near me that share the same obsession. Especially since this is still a growing concept. Until recently I didn't know one person around here that vaped. Trading juices and sharing batteries cross country is fun. Getting feedback has been very helpful when I order. Knowing that when I'm sad about losing my fav. battery there's a place I can go to complain and others will really truly understand where I'm coming from... and that it will ruin your day.
Alright I'll stop my sappy sentiments and I know I'm late jumping in here. I'm just glad you all are here and even though I know Steve, Mark, Val, and Leaford come in here and "hang" with us they conduct themselves in a very professional matter when the situation calls for it. The best of both worlds :)

I'm not new here, been vaping for a year or so, and made my first purchase from v4l many months ago. I just don't post much on this or any forum. That doesn't mean I don't read the forum though. So perhaps I have a better view than a lot.

BUT, the idea someone cannot post a complaint (in the eyes of most of you) is ridiculous. The "business" is linked to this forum from ECF's main page and the idea that only good things can be posted would give potential new customers with the idea that nothing is ever wrong, mistakes are never made. Thus not giving potential new customers a clear view. What is everyone so afraid of?

I don't ever see people jumping on and attacking all the people posting positive or glowing posts. But the reverse is not true. Any post that would create a negative view is usually jumped on quickly and strongly. Is that any way to treat fellow vapers?

I see comments such as.....this is the V4L sub-forum so if you don't like the glowing reviews, don't come here or don't read that particular thread. Well, when you know a thread is something negative, stay away from it.

Am I the ONLY person here that sees a double-standard?
