Great work Robin. Repeating what you posted from the AHL page and including his latest response which is quite interesting:

Robin Abernethy Seconded - a little disappointed that flavors are yanked with no warning to allow your FANatics to at least stock up before there's no more chance to purchase. And if you're re-purposing Boba's for another vendor - can we know who that vendor is, so we can continue to buy it?


Ahlusion I never said Boba Tea is going away. It's just not available right now. Flavors also aren't just removed; we send thousands of feedback requests every week, but we get less than 1% useable feedback on the low performing flavors. This is not a manual take down (if anything disappears) - our system calculates what stays, needs improvement etc. As for flavors going to other vendors, in these cases it's up to the vendor to release that information especially if it's re-purposed as their blend/flavor, iow, we do not disclose this information.


Robin Abernethy Thank you for your reply. Can you explain what "usebable" feedback is? I'd like to make sure when I provide my feedback, that it's considered useable. I generally don't provide feedback if the juice is perfect as is to me, I generally use it to provide feedback if I think a juice would be improved by bringing a certain note forward. If it's useable to tell you I find a particular juice perfect as is, then I'll start to do that.


Ahlusion I think we have one of the most complex feedback systems as there are several factors involved. Without disclosing exactly how it works, I'll just list the things (we have in the feedback e-mails): 1. hardware used, 2 which settings vaped at, 3 any changes in flavor perception - which also takes into account environmental and physical changes 4 how often the product was used. This is just a small aspect of feedback. We generally able to get a lot out of feedback e-mails - and it does take some work once it's correctly entered into the system by either myself, Alyssa or those who happen to take care of processing feedback.

It is interesting though that I don't remember seeing them say definitively that Boba was going away but they also left the door open for that interpretation. I can't exactly extrapolate the staying of Boba from "I never said Boba was going away," so that remains to be seen. Frankly, if I had a dog in this fight, I would ask flat-out: Yes or No, is Boba discontinued from the menu? If so, .....

Specificity will be your best friend and also be able to have something hard in writing.

If you have not submitted your comment to the FDA yet then please do so soon. Here is an excellent study which you can save as a pdf and attach it to your comments to the FDA.

Coming to the end of a mid sized bottle of Bananas Foster and this is a new Ahlusion fav of mine. I also agree that we should get due warning from Ahlusion if they yank one of our favorites from the Menu. The inability to Stock Up would also be extremely upsetting to me.

I thought they did confirm Boba Tea was going away.. to several people. If it were just off the site for maintenance and whatever, I wouldn't have freaked. But Wlad told people, specifically, that yes it was going away.

Either which way, Boba Tea plain is back on the menu, (yay!) But it's not available (boo!). Just seeing it there though gives me a sense of relief.

It was confirmed by several people I for one talked to wlad 2x and verified though several different questions. I'm glad to see them listening to us. The real test will be if they just put it up to appease, or if it really is back

This is not really an Ahlusion comment although I will be bringing my Ahlusion juices with me , but I am going on a trip Friday and was wondering how nicotine gum translates to ejuice mg. I'm pretty sure it's not an even comparison. I vape 6 mg so I wonder what that transfers into with the 2 mg gum.....any ideas? I want it for the plane...:vapor:

I f you vape 6 mg, that means one ml of the juice contains 6 mg of nicotine, so three sticks of nicotine gum. Now, we don't absorb all of the nicotine in the juice and the rate of absorption depends on how deep you inhale, how long you keep the vapor in your lungs or mouth etc... but i have heard between 40 % and 50 % is a good estimate. I would assume that we don't absorb all the nicotine in the stick of gum either, but i am guessing it would depend on how long you chew the stick of gum.

I hope that helps a little, although not an exact science.

All good points, but I think that for most of us, our disappointment is more about the fact that there wasn't a warning period on the chopped juices to allow folks a chance for a stock up purchase. To have a specific juice yanked with literally no warning is what has most of us upset.

And can someone tell me exactly what this means? From Facebook



Duplicate feedback e-mails? How does the system know? The subject? Because I don't always review every juice in a feedback at one time. And Alley even told me once that I can use any feedback e-mail to review my older newly tried juices and samples that aren't listed on feedback e-mails, instead of hunting for the specific one - so are my feedback responses being deleted by some random decision making process of a "system" ? This is an example of a "sketchy" response by team Ahlusion. I read it as more of an excuse than the truth.

Just too many inconsistent messsages that sound more like excuses to try to stop people from contacting them, which sends a strong message that as an online customer, I'm more of an annoyance than valued.

With boba tea listed but unavailable and the spirited exchange on facebook.. I think Wald has taken a about face on the Boba removal. Sounds like there will be a revamp on the coupon feedback system and a coupon may be a reward for feedback. I love Ahlusion juice and rarely order from other vendors...but in the wake of this shakeup i guess I'm going to have to rethink this position a bit and try a new vendor now and then. {i feel I have 2 many eggs in one basket} When the new website appeared there was many glitches that actually led to my lack of feedback and with 2 feedback emails sent with zero response... it made me feel my feedback was ignored or not even received. It falls on both parties here but if there is no reply to my feedback emails how can I believe they were even making a difference? It is strange that they re list Boba tea on the website and it appears in the 10 most popular juices on the site??

Well, I can tell you that I've gotten comments back from Alley on every one of my responses (to the Feedback requests). They also reference my earlier responses. So it's happening. I had an unfavorable remark on one juice, and she wrote, " We have taken note that the Lemon Ginger Iced Tea being too "heavy" on flavoring. We appreciate your comments!"
So everyone PLEASE respond to those emails!

I just responded to my first Feedback e-mail. Was shocked to see Alley respond within 10 minutes. I asked them not to change a thing on my juice since I have many favorites.

I also indicated if they discontinue a flavor they should give advance notice so a potential Customer could Stock Up. Alley quoted the Aromatic line as an example of Ahlusion giving advance notice and thanked me for my thoughts.

I think Bobas has been listed in the top 10 for awhile, part of my confusion why it would go away. Probably just out of ingredients. I have no problem with having to supply feedback to get the coupon code as long as they reply with a code. Well, not really, maybe as long as they will continue rave faves it is worth it even without a coupon.

I have also always received a reply from feedback I submitted quickly from either Ally or Alison.

I would almost be glad if they didn't send a code until you send feedback. I don't always feel ready to comment on a juice withing 2-3 weeks, or even a month. And sometimes I'm not ready to order more juice within the time before the code expires. I feel like we might have a little more control over when they sent the code if it was dependent on when we sent feedback. Or maybe it won't work out that way. I guess one thing I've figured out about Ahlusion in the last week is that I don't really have any idea what they're doing or why they're doing it. :confused:

Doing a fly-by.......hope nobody minds. I have a 30ml bottle from Ahlusion that I cannot open. I've pushed down and turned the top and pulled up and turned the top and it just clicks happily with no movement. How do I get it open? Thanks!

Run the lid under hot water for a minute or so and try again? FREAKY!!!! :-x
