Hey YCY bro -- I agree about Sweet Virginia but ya know I initially didn't care for that one until I realized it was a sub ohm type juice. I get it now! :thumb:

Not for me. I don't think any natural tobacco flavor is served well by overheating it. Too many delicate edges that get melted into the middle.

Well that is subjective YCY. Depending on how you build and of course..air-flow. It's just right imo at 0.8 ohms on a Trident V2s large air hole.

It depends. RBFS Poet & Scholar for me is flat-out glorious on a sub-ohm build. Smooth Criminal I like both ways. Yet, Dark Horse is better in 510 attys and I like Gaia better in an RDA under high heat. Straight Perique liquids in high heat taste like swamp water to me though, and since I won't put macerations in my 510s, that means I am not vaping that kinda NET anymore. Assuming good builds on RBAs, some liquids shine better in certain situations that others don't. But I no longer make blanket statements about RBAs since I have had tremendous success with them -- but I still rock my 510s because, as I said, sometimes that is best (for me).

Some flavors need higher temperatures to come out strongly while others flat out suicide at high temps. Even when the air flow is sufficient to cool the vape this still holds true to some degree as the air doesn't change the temperature that the juice contacts the coil.

I personally have not cared for the volume, texture or flavor of sub ohm vapes with any juice. However, I still play with sub ohm builds from time to time and have no difficulty in understanding why others are so enamored with them. I don't think there is any shortcut to personal vape nirvana without experimenting to find what works best for individual preferences. We are fortunate that we have so many choices.

I have had some flavors taste all of one note in my sub-ohm builds and those eliquids get the 510 treatment. Others, however, while maybe not the most nuanced, just work. I am vaping Jigg(x) from HHV right now and I tried it in a low build and it was dumbed down -- but in my CS LR, it tastes quite nuanced. Hell, I think maybe that some liquids NEED to have some of their subtly lost because often times those subtleties are off-notes that ruin the overall taste.

p.s. I hear you on the massive clouds. I really don't like, or think it is a good look for my household, to have an actual fog meandering throughout the entire freakin' house! It's fun sometimes, but not for me to do all the time. The one time I saw my daughter trying to play with the cloud (and I wasn't even vaping near that room), I said this is no bueno!

Smoking Cherries bro. Robin (rabernet) was generous enough to share with me. It's an Aromatic but if you want pure unadulterated tobacco, Smoking Cherries is what you would be after imo.

Whats that mean aromatic? I mean I know what it means but whats an aromatic e juice?

Oh, do you guys know if they'll show you how to build an RBA at a vape shop? Do they even sell them there? Its really starting to piss me off I still have to use clearos because I cant build a good setup. Ive tried asking people on here over and over what to get, how to build them, watched countless instructional videos on youtube, I still cant get a better vape out of one than I get just vaping from an evod or a vivi nova at 10 watts with my SVD. Is it not working because Im using an SVD for a mod? I dont get it

A line of Ahlusion tobacco's with very strong ( some say too strong ) tobacco flavor, using different tobacco leaves than the non aromatic line, that is really in your face. They are co2 distilled, instead of steam distilled.

That was the layman definition. The NET connoisseurs could give you a better explanation i'm sure.

Which by the way, are back on line again !

Every matter of individual taste or choice is subjective. That's why I said, "Not for me." But I sure wish we could just say things and everyone assume we're speaking for ourselves and not trying to diminish everyone else's ideas. The worst discussion in the world is one where people keep saying, "That's just your opinion." Yup, it's the only one I brought with me.

Dude, got to Vaporcraft in Clawson! (Down the street from Oakland Mall -- just by Flipside Records). They will have you up and running in no-time flat. Great shop there. But, yeah, I would use a quality mech or something with a DNA chip (or the like).

p.s. All OG gear there with a tendency toward the high-end.

Drew at Ahlusion will help you with coils for sure. Other vape shops vary. I just visited one the other day where the owners were almost new vapers themselves. They had never heard of Ahlusion, by the way. But I'd say most have some interest in whatever new vape trends arise. You might want to post in the Michigan thread and ask about any specific shop you want to visit.

You've been hanging out with RPad again!

Actually, yeah, we had dinner. LOL. Good ol' SoCal.

p.s. Without checking this thread, I imagine everyone saw that Ahl is planning more sales to "salebrate" the new stores opening.

Man, I think they are really struggling -- maybe that's why they are opening up more stores? :D

Hey everybody. Long time no see. Well, here's what happened..

Few months ago I was away from the forum for several days. Then I slowly caught up to subscribed threads; slowly because the nice weather draws me outside to play so I'm not internetting much. I kept putting off catching up on this thread cause it was moving fast until.. before I knew it, you were onto part 3 and I was thousands of posts behind lol, so knew I couldn't catch up.

Anyways.. I missed you ahl so jumping back in. I'm mainly at the Natural Tobacco thread when I'm on ecf with a few other threads I catch up on occasionally. I have time to resubscribe to this thread again so.... hi!

Has anyone else tried the American Bend No. 3 yet? I find it to be much more enjoyable than No.2 as the sickly sweet "Virginia" flavoring is tempered by what I'm guessing is a hint of their "Burley" flavoring and possibly the cardamom. A bit more ashy spice with a subtle sweetness and a tad more bite. Another definite maybe in the re-order department!

So many different variables( temperature, air flow, wicking medium, coil build etc...) are involved in the type of vape you get, that it's almost impossible to recreate the same exact vape twice, let alone trying to duplicate someone elses. In general i have found that your build ( coil and wicking ) is more important than the type of rba used. I have gotten some of my best vapes with a tensioned micro coil rebuild on a pt2 and a an aerotank base at 1.8 ohms at just 9 watts, for example. But again YMMV

It's pretty ciggy and hits kinda hard, no matter the nic (though mine is 50/50 and 24 mg/mL -- but it hits way harder than my others at that same nic. Leaves me a bit scratchy, but in a good way).

Ha! I just looked at my bottle and the "best by" date is 3/2014. It hasn't missed a beat!

I would recommend checking out some of rip trippers build tutorials on youtube. The one below is a basic micro coil build. There's nothing like personal help but this might get you going.
