Ahlusion E-Juice Part 3

Bucket, i have heard this about Ahlusion for a long while, but what i don't find anywhere are specifics. I am not questioning the accuracy of the reports, but do you happen to know what exactly they are wholesaling ? Is it the finished juice ? Could any one point to another Brick and Mortar or on-line retailer that sells Ahlusion brand e-liquid, or is it sold under a different ( or many different ) brand name(s) ? Could you even sell the same juice under different brand names ?

Or are they a boutique flavor house that wholesales flavorings to different vendors to use in their own formulations. In which case there would be no overlap between these vendors' e-liquid and the Ahl brand e-liquid. If this is the case, then they really have two separate businesses ; 1- wholesaler of flavorings. 2- retailer of e-liquid.

edit : why would ECF say that Ahl is not qualified to be an on-line vendor, while at same time accept Halo and Virgin Vapor, who are better known wholesalers and sell their e-liquid through dozens if not hundreds of B&M's and on-line sellers ? Not that i think the answer to this question is relevant, but i believe the whole Ahl wholesale angle is used too often to explain away their inconsistent ( in my view anyway ) decisions on the retail level.

Hi Mazinny, they wholesale their flavorings and also do complete lines for other companies. They are packaged and named with the other companies details. But that's all I have heard and it could be wrong! There has been speculation that some of The Plume Rooms flavors are from Ahlusion. But no one has verified it.

No one sells Ahlusion brand juice. It would be great though if they did start wholesaling it since they don't want to be an online retailer. That's what makes Halo and Virgin Vapor different. They wholesale their brand of juice. While Ahlusion makes juice for other companies to retail.

Ahlusion has just never wanted to be a large online retailer. That's why they never advertise and would prefer that we don't talk about it. I don't know all the details and if anyone does they won't speak of it since it would have been told to them in confidence.

I don't know why ECF made their ruling but a moderator posted in our topic that Ahlusion was not eligible to be a member since they were considered to be a wholesale company and not a vendor. Maybe it would be in direct competition with vendors that they create juice for? I just don't know.

Ahlusion does what works for them. Perhaps they want to focus on their flavorings which can be used for many things and not just ejuice. They wouldn't have to worry about any regulations if they focused the company in that direction. But this is total speculation on my part.

If we end up with laws the same as tobacco there won't be any online sales with nicotine. I expect it is going to happen.

I don't detect even a hint of mint in my Orange Blossom White Tea and can't recall anyone else mentioning it either. Might want to check with Ahlusion about the mint.

I definitely get mint in my OBWT.

It hasn't even happened yet and Wlad hasn't said anything. Plans change. Like I said Wlad was going to close the online store a couple of years ago and then changed his mind. I'll wait and see what happens.

But everyone should be checking for Gold Membership if they believe they've shopped enough for it! It saves you money.

Because I know Wlad really doesn't like us talking up Ahlusion juices on forums, I have not recommended (or even mentioned) Ahlusion to anyone "new" in months and months -- however, surely he would try to accommodate (have mercy on! ) his existing loyal customers??

I second New2Vaps: take a few minutes and estimate what you've spent. Send them an email and ask for Gold status. I got it rather quickly - I did spend a lot over a short period of time, and I did send feedback every time, but I don't see why they wouldn't want to keep good customers. Of course, that implies we have any idea what they're doing.

Yes, Please everyone who thinks they may qualify for Gold member status, please contact Wlad at AHL -- I believe he does have to make that status change manually.

Dang, I'm just really depressed over this whole thing (changes to SC, limitations to online sales, etc. etc.) -- almost makes me want to just smoke again! (Damn Goobermint will never outlaw cigarettes: they make state treasuries way too much money!!)

I'm not going to post the email because I don't want to break any rules here, but the gist of it is this: Gold member status was given out to those who gave specific and ongoing feedback and to those who had a role in creating new flavors. It went on to say that they no longer give out the status that frequently and that requesting an upgrade to gold status is not an option at this time.

So it is not tied to how much you spend at all, and apparently unless your feedback is used for them to tweak a juice it does not count...so if you happen to like their juices as is and let them know that through feedback, it's all for nothing! And you can spend gobs of money with them and again it makes no difference...my problem with all of this is that they are basically picking and choosing who they want as future customers and the rest of us, who have been loyal to them and purchased lots, are just left out in the cold! I don't begrudge any gold member getting to order, but why would you just throw all the rest of your loyal customers who love your product just as much, away?!

Brutal news. Two possibilities I see: 1. Wholesale is so much more profitable it's a waste to sell online, and this isn't incompatible with 2. Wlad is convinced the FDA will end online sales and so is playing it smart and safe.

Bukket, my aerotank with enclosed coils arrived last week and changed everything. Best device I own. Produces as much vapor with as much flavor as my Kayfun.

So for the future, I'd love to see vendor and flavor recommendations from avid Ahlusion fans. I used to try almost anything a year ago and finally settled on Ahlusion for 80 percent of my blends, with Plume Room, HHV, Mad Murdoch being the only others I continued to buy from. I grew tired of AVE, still like to have Backwood's honey (which will scratch the Honey Blues itch) and malty toffee around, and stopped stocking POET's al limone once LVC arrived. Since I tried most every recommended name in the business a year ago, I'm most interested in the more recent arrivals on the scene I've missed. Thanks for the help!

I still try other vendors now and then and keep coming to the conclusion "not as good as Ahlusion". Don't know what will happen when the regs kick in, but glad I am a Gold member. Don't know how I qualified. I have spent a wad with them this year and always send feedback, but never requested tweaks or anything. Go figure. Gonna work on perfecting my DIY skills though just in case.

I will Like your Post due to your enthusiasm and efforts. However, I did not enjoy reading this part.

It makes my recent decision to spread my wings with other Vendors in the last Month almost prophetic.

David..Seems as if you and I are like minded. Not from rumor or facts just from a feeling I have had for quite some time. The stirring of the pot I created awhile back was due to some of those feelings. I know it wasn't a smart thing to do on a FAN THREAD...but I felt the need to get that off my chest. I love AHL just as much as anyone else on this thread, but the unsound business practices have all but driven me away from AHL.

I'll order some of my faves while I still can, and move onto other places.

You will adore them hon. A bit on the expensive side so plan on spending about what we all have spent on Ahlusion. That's saying a lot for most of us here.
