Boring personal observation about pg/vg coming.

When I used higher PG, I got sores in my cheeks. When I used higher VG I got heavy lungs. I settled on 50/50 as a compromise but I think I am going to have to adjust it based on the season now. With the dry cold winter air, I'm getting some sores again at 50/50 and I'm wondering if I shouldn't go a little higher VG in the winter. I'm guessing the higher vapor production of VG is responsible for the heavy lung issue, and I could handle it better with the low humidity of winter.

Isn't it weird in vaping how the things that you have the highest expectations can be the furthest from your ideas and the things you had little hope for turn out to be stellar? I guess that's just life more so than vaping.

I know, that was my experience with Ahl's new line of "booze" juices. :( Seems I just can't vape anything with that kind of flavor profile! (The good news is, however, that Santa brought me a bottle of Courvoisier V.S.O.P., sooooo . . . :D)

I am happy to know that I wasn't way off base about RR and Shipwreck. I haven't vaped Shipwreck in months, but as soon as I hit RR that is what I thought of.

 This just sort of boggles me! I mean, Shipwreck = a coconutty-tobacco with a hint of lime, RR = raisiny rice pudding, yet they somehow share a very similar base? Very intriguing! Think I'll have to get a 10ml of RR for myself!

well I am bummed to say the least. Way back around summer time I had some high PG juice (non AHL) and I felt like they gave me heartburn. Was not sure but felt like that was the case. Fast forward to a month or so ago and I decided to start ordering my AHL in 70pg because the flavor is intense. Now I have all this 70PG AHL (maybe 10 bottles 30ml) in the flavors that I love and I am getting heartburn again. Sheez...really noticed it last night because I had all three Taifuns filled with 70PG AHL of different sorts and suffered all night. Happened a few days ago too.

urrrggg..counted my bottles of 70pg and I have 19 and 3 of them are 60mls Lemon cream. That is a lot of heartburn.
Going back to 50/50

Oh no! I say stock up on big bottles of Tums EX (your local grocery store's generic version), and treat the tummy throughout the day (especially before going to bed at night). You certainly don't want to have to waste all that phenomenal juice!

[RR] is great straight from the mailbox. I emptied my bottle the day before the new bottle arrived and I filled my tank as soon as I got it in the house. It's that good! I'm so addicted to this flavor. I think it's part of the reason I had such a bad response to Pineapple Brulee. I tried it right after vaping Rick's Request. Not a good idea.

No invidious comparisons allowed! :D

Oh yeah..while I'm here..as many times as I've rant and raved about Mango Lassi..all you Van Mango lovers have been quite content to keep that awesome flavor to ya selves. :pervy:

This is quite unacceptable and in the future if you hear me say..Oh man that {insert random fruit here} Colada..Lassi..or Mimosa is fantastic..welp..speak your mind please!

:lol::lol::lol:

Looks like I need to try RR, and ask for a sample of Van Mango (I loved Mango Colada). Sigh. It just never ends, does it? :)

I have a monthly prescription for Zantac and take it every morning. Still had the PG heartburn

Maybe I do need to try Prilosec.

Those two drugs have entirely different mechanisms of action. Zantac is an "H2 blocker"; my own body scoffed at all H2 blockers back when I finally had to DO SOMETHING about my severe, chronic GERD.

Prilosec and Prevacid, otoh, are Proton Pump Inhibitors, which significantly reduce the amount of acid your gut makes in the first place. For me, taking a PPI every day was like having a whole new digestive tract transplant -- happy happy joy joy!:banana::banana::banana:

I agree Mann, they are a PITB, but I am guessing as close to child proof as they can get that type of bottle? Even with nails, it's a fight to get that dropper off!

Yeah, I was thinking that even if a child got to it, the most they could do is drip some drops but not pour. But, poor me trying to decant, I was the one feeling like a child.

p.s. Hey, Tyleris!!

Ha! I have a pair of pliers wrapped in electrical tape I use for things my old hands can't grip and they help getting the droppers off. I can see with time I will destroy the "needle tip" but for now it works.

Oh, I got it off, but it's mangled to no end (so to speak).

Man, what in the hell is up with these Ahl 10 mL bottles? Have any of you tried to take off the dropper? Sheesh! It's like it's not supposed to come of. These are not your average PET bottles and droppers.

Yes I had to use needle nosed pliers to pop mine off to fill a syringe to fill the Billow with Van Mango. lol

I guess you guys are used to them, but I have problems dripping with the 10ml bottles. I dunno if it's the bottle themselves, the labels on them or a combination of both, but I find them hard to compress with any level of control. Hopefully I'll get used to them, but I much prefer the softer, opaque bottles that I get from other vendors.

On the upside, the juices in my last order are much more promising than some of those in my first order, and after a week or so the worst ones in my first order have at least become vapable. I still have all of them steeping, but at first blush Boba Tea, Strawberry Vanilla Cake (smells awesome) and Tiramisu are winners, several others are pretty good FOOB and none are terrible.

My first reaction to Boba Tea FOOB was "Wow....". :)

I'm thinking through how to do the thread to make the most sense, but I think it'll be informative and useful, with enough feedback from folks out there.
I do not think of it as a reaction so to speak because I happily vape 50/50 with no problems. I just think too much PG is too much (for me)
I used to think it was cheaper juice and less quality ingredients that played a part but I trust AHL to have the highest quality so I know it is the PG
I think a thread like that would be well received
