So this bottle of Alton is kinda bugging me out. At first it tasted to be all orange sherbert, i.e., milky orange, but now it has blossomed into a much more complex liquid than I think the description suggests. I know it says sorbet and not sherbert, but it seems less creamy now -- and actually more like sorbet, in a weird way -- and there is surely more than orange and a milky base. My palate may be tricking me, but I detect a trace of mint, or something herbaceous, in it. Nice offering.
I tell ya', Wlad's prowess with mixing never ceases to amaze me. And while he is not infallible, he is a master at his craft. No two ways about it!
When I really delve into Ahl's offerings, I am reminded of the fact that while they may occasionally use common flavorings, that is rarely ever the end of it. There is true flavor chemistry going on in these liquids!
