Your subjective post is great! If you don't mind here is my take.
Grant is not a kid and honestly one of the nicest guys in the industry not to mention hilarious. Great attitude, loves people and we have emailed quite a bit about nonsense. He always posts when he won't return emails and he won't. His small production has turned into mass quantities in a year. Supplying the UK alone is a daunting task not to mention EU as a whole.
Many have said the same as you asking and commenting about the hype, the hype was over 9 months ago and he is bringing new suppliers on board that can't keep it in stock either. He is a one man technicolor dream show that does his best. I have seen him make special small batches for vapers that are Pg intolerant on his break period. There are many juice companies that try to reproduce with fantastic results but it's not Grants. I have very knowledgeable friends in the community that see it as another juice and others like myself love it. I rotate in 1 bottle into 5 bottles of 100ml on a regular basis.
When one empties another goes in. But, I also have given much out.
He steeps them no less than 2 weeks before ship.
Like Ahlusion flavors, many have certain flavors they enjoy in specific atomizers. To me GVC hits the sweet spot at 1.4 ohms on a micro coil and coton or ekowool wick when the sugars start to crystallize on the coil and wick. Love it.
I enjoy supporting Wlad, Alley and Grant because they are great people and, great people to have in our vaping world. My devices, gear, juice will always be from people who care. I wasted plenty of money supporting big tobacco who didn't give a .... about any of us. :)

On another note 180 ml of Ahlusion to my door in 4 days and one was Sunday. WOOT. Fastest ever!

Thanks so much for a fascinating back story on GFC. My use of the term "kids" was not meant to denigrate him. Apologies. When you are old enough to collect Social Security I think everyone is a "kid" but it doesn't translate very well on a Forum. /LOL

Frankly and respectfully, I would prefer Grant to tell his complete story on his web site in a similar vein as you have described. It's neat, compelling, transparent, and a lot of first time buyers like me would have a better insight into his creations and how he runs the ship. I would also suggest an auto responder to all email when he is doing other things. You might be surprised ? at how effective this automated tool is.

I ordered two 50ML bottles at 50/50 and 6MG so shoot me a PM ladies if this works. As you point out, their is certainly no shortage of vendors selling what they think is a "clone" and in the DIY world it's very very well documented. For me, I will wait and taste the real deal as I tend to prefer to reach my own conclusions in fairness to all parties.

Finally, yesterday I mixed a more "traditional" twist on GVC using Sweet Cream from TFA @ 2% plus Vanilla Custard from Capellas @ 15%. Six hours in the UC and OMG is it smooth and yummy. Not gag me sweet but just right sweet after the UC. Need to "sit" for a day or so. Again, I'm not into cloning other vendors juices and I would never infer I have cloned the real deal. I just like to create a "twist" that I enjoy.

/ Returning to a regularly scheduled program /LOL

One question for those who may know: I ordered the W&A Sasparilla and asked if they could turn it into a root beer float (as I've seen others mention that they can). How would I know if they did this as there is no notation on the bottle? Or should I have asked for root beer cream?

The stuff I had said Rootbeer Cream on the bottle, it was definately rootbeer and not sassy.

For those of you that have tried Gold Member....did the coffee flavor go away after steeping? I got a sample in one of my orders, and it tasted so much like coffee, I emptied it out of the clearo I had it in....not a coffee fan, but love caramel.

I read a few pages back that it is better after a few weeks and that the salt comes out..but does it loose the coffee flavor completely?

yes give it about 3-4 weeks

The sterilized cotton is found in the medical gauze area. The box doesn't look like that anymore, though, so that may throw you off. It's white with gray and blue on it now.

This is the truth. Here's the new box..

It's something you buy only once, it's a lifetime supply. No boiling or prep needed.

Just my :2c: on the topic of high-end vs. inexpensive or knock-off: for me, and this is just me I am speaking for, in the past when I wanted to try new toys, I really appreciated knowing a) I have the help of the manufacturer if needed (i.e., not made in some far-off factory) and most importantly b) knowing that if I didn't care for it, not only would the price barely depreciate, but people would be willing to pay the exact same as what I paid for it (or pay more, though I wouldn't accept that). Buying higher-end devices, while being almost laughably costly, can really be a risk-free buy. Even after having my Provari for 2 years and having used it everyday that I vape (which has been 98% of all days since I started vaping), I recently turned down an offer for $120 for it (my PV is quite clean though it's been put through the ringer). Considering what I paid for it and how much I've used it, I think I've gotten way more than the little difference I would've "lost" on the offer.

I can't help but to think of 2011 when many were saying "I could buy 3 Lavatubes" for the price of one Provari. Thank the lawd I never bought those Lavatubes (that'd been money down the drain). That said, a Vamo, MVP, SID, etc., are light years above the construction of a Lavatube v1, so it's becoming a different compare-and-contrast. The differences in quality are not as grand as before, but I still like knowing that my unit's construction, function and value have held up quite strongly after two years of day-in-and-day-out usage.

You can run the 69 with the button at the top too, like a Poldiac.

Word? Nice! I don't mind bottom buttons (meaning on the very bottom), but for me the GG-like button feels more insecure to hold and fire especially with a heavy topper (but I do NOT want to battle with any GG owners, so I'll say "GG-like" buttons. LOL).

If price isn't an option, why not get a ZNA 30? They may be out-of-stock right now (don't know). If mechanical is you're thing, but don't want a bottom button, check out the Poldiac.

https://www.google.com/search?q=ZNA...j4&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8 (interview with Zen)

ElectronicStix.Com · ZNA by House Of Hybrids (ZNA 30)

Poldiac V2 | mmvapors.com (poldiac)

And of course you could get a 69 or something with a GG-like button, but I don't like a "real" button that close to the bottom.

EDIT: Sorry for the redundancy, but I just saw Vagabondnurse's post.

That ZNA is gorgeous.

Mine has been steeping for months...I still get a coffee flavor but I like it. I don't think it's coffee though but my nose keeps interpreting it that way. I think it is something in the caramel which gives that effect.

Well I notice vaping is really catching on in my area... I've seen vapers out in the wild using some types of impressive shiny metal things which appeared to be expensive from a distance.

The day someone walks up to me and inquiries what I'm vaping on, then upstages me with theirs.. then I guess I'll be forced to shell out for a paps, or gg something or other.. whatever the cool kids are using these days. I don't want to be the only kid in school wearing monkey plastics.. you know?

Honestly, I don't care about prestige. I care about quality of the product. I tend to be more practical.

Wow. I'm surprised that many of you dig the ZNA30's form factor. I played with one for a bit and didn't find it much more comfortable than a tube mod. While it's certainly well made and uses great materials, I don't like the design. It's a waste of material to me. I rather have a minimalistic box or tube mod with a DNA30 chip.

Are their any Tube mods with a DNA30 chip

of quality build from a reliable company

The only 1 I know is the ZNA which like you said is a waste of material not what I would choose if there are better tube option's
(and there may be option's I don't know)

however my friend had picked one up and it does not feel bad I would not be unhappy with it

but then again if there are not better options now I am sure there will be soon
