I gather Ahlusion makes some of its own flavor extracts. Those would be in the really clear flavors. Deej said that a lot of the flavors come with coloring in them (he wished they didn't.) Those are the ones that start out caramel-colored. And there are a few flavors that are quite dark when the juice vendor receives them. Those are the coil killers but some of them (Gingerbread) are worth it.

Once the liquid is mixed, it darkens as the nicotine ages and oxidizes. So either ECBlends is getting their flavors from a source that uses a lot of food coloring or they are buying their nicotine in large quantities and not protecting it from oxidization before it is used -- or a combination of the two.

So when the juice in your tank turns dark is that due to the nic oxidizing or just discoloration from the heat of the atomizer?

At this point, I get my juices from 2 places primarily, Ahlusion and Vape Wild, with the exception of Fruit Splash (blueberry, pomegranate and lemon) which I have not found anywhere else. I did put a note for Wlad in one of my orders asking if he would consider developing something with these flavors. I don't know if he is considering it or not. :)

Actually, that sounds a lot like a Wlad concoction! I hope he takes you up on the suggestion. :)

Ahlusion makes a lot of flavors. That's what keeps me hooked. I believe they have a lot of flavors created for them at labs that can produce the volume needed. Wlad has explained to me how he creates the perception of a flavor by a molecule but it was so far over my head that I could never explain it! Lol.

Wlad is a magician whether it is creating a flavoring or mixing flavors. They just get me.

It is from the heat of the atomizer. Remember the old clearos with the long wicks we used to use and how dark they'd get. Vaping has changed so much and so fast. The one mod that has kept up with all of the changes is my Pink Provari. It's still my favorite and going strong after 4 years.

In your tank, it's probably mostly heat. I was talking about the bottles of liquid that you can't see through.

Pondering my next order... any thoughts on Hawaiian Sun? I love their watermelon and coconut but I hate strawberry flavoring, hmm...but the picture looks so good(but then again Crescent Moon's picture looks good too[emoji38]

Seriously, has anyone tried it?
Yeah HS is pretty good. Worth a try IMO.

It's all oxidation. Nicotine + Oxygen ---> Oxidized nicotine. The reaction is going to happen no matter what we do. Low temperatures and low light slow it down, which is why we freeze our nic bases for log-term storage in dark bottles, but it still happens. Heat speeds up the process. Actually, most of oxidation occurs at vape time. :)

I like it too, Mr, Mann! Not too much, not too little! Well.....just right!![/QU
Cannot wait to try this!
I agree. Every few vapes I keep getting a faint mouthful of fresh baked "bun" along with the cinnamon sugar. :) Delicious, and NOT "bready" or "doughy."

Heh. I see what you did there! :)

Can't wait to try this! I went right for 60mls. Patiently steeping....

Is it better to get 100% pure nic or the nic already mixed into a pg base?

Thanks people, will give it a try despite the evil strawberry! Vaping Pure Apple right now, it is easily the best apple I've had, tastes like a Honeycrisp apple...yummy.

Oh yum, Honeycrisp apples are my absolute fav. I'll have to try that one! :)

You can't get 100% nicotine--we're not even allowed to discuss the subject here. Only professional labs with special equipment are allowed to handle 100% nicotine. The stuff is lethal.

If you mean 10% nicotine, or 100 mg/ml nicotine solution, it's already mixed with with PG, VG or a blend of both.
