So glad to hear this, Penny!

On a completely unrelated note, I almost lost my beloved kitty cat Monday evening. And our week went sort of downhill from there!

Around 5:30pm Monday, he began that weird warbling, and projectile vomited every thing he tried to eat; then began staggering, collapsing and finally having small seizures. (Yes, I was utterly freaked out and got him to my over-priced "emergency" vet as soon as I could).

Turns out he had self-cured of his diabetes, and my continuing to give him his insulin shots on schedule led to a major hypoglycemic crisis. (How the hell was I supposed to know?? Answer: I wasn't. Terrific.) His blood sugar was down to 22 (normal=100-300mg/dL; non-diabetic normal=65-135mg/dL).

They gave him IV glucose at the vet's, and I got some Karo syrup to rub on his paw. The vomiting, seizures and collapsing stopped. He seemed to be getting better, although he refused to eat or drink. Monday night was quiet, but of course he was wiped out and I was completely freaked.

Tuesday he continued to refuse all food and water and then: about 1:00am Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, he got the trots. I mean, full-blown, trip to the litter box every 5 minutes, pure ......... ALL NIGHT LONG. The trips slowed down in frequency by 9:00am, but kept happening nonetheless.

And still Maxwell was reusing ALL food and water.

This continued all day Wednesday. Deeply fearful that his food refusal and non-stop pooping would lead to another hypoglycemic crisis, I gave him some Karo via paw. Yes, he hated it, I hated it, we were both exhausted and anxious, and there was nothing to do about it.

Finally, finally, on Thursday the ........ stopped completely. Still refusing food and water, but clearly feeling better. I went out and bought a kind of Fancy Feast he used to love but had not had in weeks (and therefore had ZERO association with the gastric traumas of this week). EUREKA! Max began eating the new chow, and drinking LOTS of water (he had to be SOOO dehydrated). Best of all, he managed to keep everything down, and nothing came out the other end either!

Today is Friday, and FINALLY we have both been able to eat and sleep normally. I was initially so relieved to learn that my cat was "just" having an easily-reversed low sugar crisis, and then we went the whole damn week with stuff coming out one end but nothing going in the other!:facepalm:o_Oo_O

Thank GOD Maxwell is alright today, and thank GOD it's Friday!!!o_O
Glad Maxwell is a bit better. :)

Alley wrote back and said she sees my birthday on her end. She thinks it's a cache thing so I've nuked my cache, erased Ahlusion cookies, shut the browser and restarted it. Still no birthday. I'll try again a few times before I write back but she thinks there shouldn't be a problem ordering. I won't know until I make a much bigger dent in my stash.

Never mind. I just saw the reply from @tyleris12
It was nothing for me to get my Gold Status back. I put a ticket in as well and Wlad sent a quick reply.

I am currently calculating how much a 55gal drum of Rick's Request will cost me.

I need to hit the lottery!

Thank you all for your most kind and encouraging words at a time I really need to hear them. After losing my sister last year I only have a cousin left to lean on and she is 1100 miles away. I pretty much keep to myself out here so it is me and my DH and I do not want to scare him by voicing my fears and ramblings. It is a 50 mile drive to a support group. I will go, but not until I know what is going to happen with my treatment. So the support here, among people I know and care about is special. Thank you.

I do have quite the stubborn streak that should start emerging soon. It has just been a couple of hard years with neck and back surgeries and losing my sister and all. I wonder how much my boob weighs? And if I will lose weight with radiation? Gotta be some kind of rainbow to chase. :)

Hi ShariR, You're in my thoughts and prayers. You're going to beat this!

It took me most of my second chemo cycle to get back to feeling relatively normal...just in time for the next one this coming Monday. I'm basking in feeling good, and prepping for the first ten days' worth of dealing with it...cooking and stashing easy-to-eat stuff for me (home-made chicken soup, Ensure shakes), stuff for the Hubber (chili, Amy's frozen meals), med refills. I also need to start out some fresh new juice tanks and trash most of my Aspire ETS tanks that seem to fall apart so easily -- I'm transitioning to Kanger Protank IIIs, and hope they will be sturdier.

Bravo. (I'd buy a couple of bottles from them but they don't have any flavors I want.)

They sell unflavored, too. :D

Looking for feedback on Bananas Foster... Anyone try this?
yes. I went back and forth between Foster and Cream Pie a year or so ago and loved them both equally. With Fosters you can taste the caramelized sugar. The Banana AHL uses lost its appeal for me.

Good morning everyone, I wanted to apologize for only dropping in with short little posts once in awhile lately. I hurt my right arm & typing causes quite a bit of pain (think I pinched my Ulnar nerve, mixed in with my carpal tunnel). Please know my sympathy and support goes out to those of you fighting the courageous battle against cancer, your strength is inspirational! Eleanor, I'm glad your fur baby is better! My apologies for anything/anyone else I've missed.

Has anyone else been wondering how all these vape companies, including Ahlusion, is going to ship to us now that everything is going to be considered a tobacco product & USPS doesn't allow shipping of those items? I know they have much bigger things to worry about in the long term, as do we, but just something I've been thinking about recently.

I've been concerned about the same thing - especially since I live in Hawaii. The following post in the Halo lawsuit thread makes me hopeful that things will be okay - at least in the short run:

Just stopped by to say that Ahlusion has the best BLUEBERRY anywhere. EN-EEEE-WHERE!

Ran out of Rasputin last night. I'm not reordering until I make a major dent in what I've bought but haven't tried. Popped my Star Dust Breeze into the atomizer. It took about 5 puffs for the SD to obliterate the trace of Rasputin left (the combination was tasty) and WOW! I don't taste the "breeze" at all but the blueberry is great. I've been indifferent to blueberry flavors in the past -- too candy and/or chemically. But this is the second Ahlusion blueberry I've really liked (the first being Blueberry Vanilla Cake.)

Yummy, yummy, yummy.
