Update to let everyone know how I'm doing. Healing is going well. Saw my surgeon yesterday, and as expected, I have to keep the drain in for another week.
Since the shortness of breath never really went away, he referred me to a pulmonologist! I'm going next Tuesday. I remembered that my PET scan, back in April, said that I had centrilobular emphysema, and pulled out a copy of the report to bring with me. It wasn't a surprise, since my mother has it, but since I was focused in on the cancer, I kind-of just snickered when I saw that. Funny, though, how quickly I went from symptomless to "definitely a problem!" on it.
I'm doing my very best to limit my
vaping...I inhale a tiny bit and then click it off, so I get much less. I also found that it's worst when I lie down, so I'm sleeping with my upper half elevated, which is also good for my surgery site.
So, is the pulmonologist going to tell me to absolutely quit
vaping?
